Traditional Sicilian restaurant

Typical Sicilian setting. Antipasti buffet with a large variety of traditional Sicilian dishes. The pasta with anchovies had very few anchovies and the salads were not fresh. The fish was delicious and the staff was friendly.

Great trattoria, central location. Choose your fresh fish & it's cooked how you like. Impressive menu & wine list - all wine stories detailed. Excellent service. Traditional ambience... Returned for a 2nd meal!..

Saw the Trip Advisor reviews and we decided to try it. The antipasti were very good as were the meals we had, however the restaurant was very hot which made it hard to enjoy the meal. THe food is definitely very good but the discomfort brings the rating down

This restaurant has been around for over a hundred years. Food is delicious. Some of the menu items are like what your grandma would have prepared in her kitchen. Simple, like meat and potatoes. But very well prepared. Other menu items are more complex and very good. Be sure to make a reservation. While eating we saw them turn away... More

Our hotel got us a table at this popular trattoria, and we observed at least 10 other groups turned away because the place was so busy on a Sunday night. I recommend a reservation. We had the degustazione menu at 18 euros each - a great value! I enjoyed the tortellini in brodo as a primi, while my husband loved... More

We went here tonite as it's our last nite in Palermo. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try, I wish we hadn't! Firstly where we were sat was in front of the air con, not normally a problem, however it was freezing so we asked if it could be turned down a little, to which we... More

We ate dinner here as part of a tour group, so they had used this restaurant before. Upon entering, there was a long buffet on the right with meats and cheeses. Unfortunately, we were eating from a set menu. The pasta and seafood plates were very good. The ice cream dessert was a hit with all. Service was attentive and... More

Picked this restaurant for lunch on our last day in Sicily, simply because we hadn't spotted anywhere else and it was getting late. But we certainly didn't make a bad choice. The service was both friendly and efficient, and the food (from the set menu) was very good indeed, and extremely copious! It wasn't that busy when we went, though... More

This is an exceptionally popular restaurant. We attempted to get a table one night but it was crammed to the rafters with a queue of people with plates lining up for the buffet anti pasti. The smell of the food and the warm and cheerful atmosphere were immediately compelling so I booked for the following day. I had the buffet... More

Boiled meat? With green sauce? Not what I was looking for, but the history of this dish, and the history of this restaurant gave me no choice! The food was superior, as other reviewers have said. And perhaps thanks to the California reviewer, LindaKayC, we had a huge basket of bread on the table. Lots of Sicilian restaurants have great... More
