We found the food to be very good. My husband ordered a pasta not on the menu and they made it for him perfectly. I had the pasta Alla Norma and it was excellent. Loved the home made pasta. One Sunday afternoon in late hours, the limits of the closure of the kitchens, in spite of all the reception is excellent, local simple but clean and comfortable, food typical of the Palermo cooked "at home" but cooked very well! For lovers of tradition one of the best! Friendly and professional service. Average prices of restaurants of this type. Recommended... More

The food is really good, well prepared and pleasantly served. The walls are plenty of pics of big-named people that come here for the quality and the atmosphere of an old way of receiving. We ate a plate named "frittella" , simply delicious. A great kiss to the pretty woman that is the owner of the restaurant, that gave me... More

On our first evening in Palermo, a Monday, we were delighted to find this restaurant open. It is centrally located on Via Vittorio Emanuele and not too distant from our apartment. Entering through the attractive doorway, we got a table in the compact front area. For starters we had pasta, followed by swordfish and steak. All very good. The service... More

We hit the hotel late, but a quick jaunt and we were at dinner. We filled up on excellent food and wandered down the back streets to the hotel. Nice buffet appetizer bar, we were able to get what we wanted and only as much as we could eat. Staff did a great job, even though they were very busy.

We were staying at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa and walked out the front door and down the very short street to the bustling Via Vittorio Emanuele. Right in front of us, directly across the Corso, stood this restaurant. So the 4 of us decided to try this restaurant for lunch. We were able to get a table on this... More

Centrally located, 10 mins away from our hotel we managed to get one of the last tables without a reservation. Lovely traditional style restaurant with excellent professional and efficient service. Really fresh fish on display for you to choose from, and excellent reasonably priced wine list. Our waiter recommended a superb crisp white to accompany our meal. Food portions in... More

In the centre of Palermo, on one of the main streets, I had a nice dinner in this restaurant, recommended by the Sicily Trotter travel guide.Nicely decorated restaurant, friendly staff and great value for money. What I really liked, they do not serve big (usually lousy) quantity, but just good quality and for a very reasonable price! Recommended!!

Found this restaurant through LP. Two great soup entrees: tortellini brodo and broad bean soup. and swordfish rolls and boiled veal for seconds. Wine was Nero and. Very satisfying. Nice atmosphere and service.

Traveling with my parents who prefer to eat early (always a challenge in Italy, certainly in Sicily!), turned out to be an advantage - we got seated right away, and while we enjoyed our home-y, traditional, solidly prepared dishes, we watched in amazement as the place filled up with locals and tourists alike to the point where people were being...
