Tasty and imaginative food at al fondaco, all made in house, including the pasta. The aubergine roll starters alonside chick pea fritters were delicious, as was the seafood ravioli. Only wish i would have had space left for a dessert. I wish the young owners the best of luck.

This modern restaurant is in central Palermo, but off the beaten track. Run by two young brothers and a sister, they present modern Italian cooking of a high quality and individuality. A friendly welcome, an aperitif ' on the house', and Diego ( the chef) finding time to come to the table was the start of a memorable evening. The... More

My friends told me to get there, first because it is very good Restaurant and also because the owner and is son lived in the same village in Switzerland, as i live. If you like seafood and you want to eat very fresh things, then don't miss this place. I had a 4 course dinner. And it was so delicious.... More

We ate here tonight and found it by following Google Maps to the letter. It would have been hard otherwise. But, it was worth the effort! They greeted us nicely, and the staff spoke decent enough English for us to get by. They started us with free house aperitifs, and some spreads with crisp crackers. We ordered a green salad,... the restaurant is located in the intricated alleys in the heart of palermo. Finding it took quite some time especially during nightfall when the light is scarse. Upon reaching the place we asked ourselves if it were the right place, as fading lights from sicilian family's kitchen light our path in that dark narrow alley, but as we entered we... More

The restaurant has a bright decor with a mixture of interesting and attractive paintings and beautiful prints of artisans involved in food. We had a variety of dishes between the two of us but I started with Cauliflower mousse with a fried chick pea fritter which was interesting and very pleasant. My partner had steamed mussels which were fresh and... More

On our romantic trip to Sicily we were looking for a small private restaurant with local food. We were recommended this place by our host and we loved our dinner here. The food was fresh and really tasty, and the staff was even better. Really friendly and a very intimate place. We would really recommend it!

My husband and I were in the mood for a good seafood dinner in Palermo and Al Fondaco del Conte made us and our tummies very happy. The place is clean and airy and the staff is extremely welcoming. We shared a fish antipasti with three different kinds of seafood salads, sardine fish cakes to die for, home cured anchovies... More

Persevere in finding this place as the food is high quality and innovative. Nice friendly welcome and comfortable atmosphere. I had well-grilled mixed fish dish and wife had fish ravioli. Friends both had gnocchi. Dessert was even better - cassata and tiramisu. Nice local red wine Martinianum. Surprised by bill only being €85.
