We arrived at the restaurant and were some what surprised by the location (it is hidden away in a residential section of the old town) and the setting (it was smart but very light, quiet and with TV showing a film in the background), it is fair to say that we were not sure that we were in the right... just behind the corner of our b&b, this cosy restaurant is well worth a visit. The chef comes at the table to explain about his philosophy and the local ballaro market. You can hear his passion about food and taste it as well. Don't miss this experience.

It was a surprise to find this restaurant while getting lost in the alleys of Palermo. The chef was so friendly and explaining us the history of the city and market and how the meals got inspired by these traditions. We were only two guests in that restaurant and definitely we really got a VIP treatment. The photos hang on... More

It's off the main street that runs in front of the cathedral & down some windy smaller side streets. However, it's well worth searching out & it's a quiet haven. Here we had one of our best meals in 4 weeks of travel in Sicily. We were greeted by the owner/chef & offered a homemade strawberry cordial-based drink that was... More

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The chef comes out to greet you and filleted the sea bass in front of us. Everything was good and fresh. Ravioli were great. The grilled fish were a bit over cooked. It is a special place but hard to find and we would try others before going again.

We were staying in a b&b on Porta di Castro and on our last night wanted to dine somewhere close. We saw the sign and head up a small street or alley without being sure of what would greet us but arround a corner was the friendliest place we visited in 10 days in Sicily. We only ordered one course... More

Very hard to find, we eventually hired a taxi. The food was simple, yet elegant in preparation and presentation by a young chief and an attendant staff. If we lived in Palermo we would follow the the restaurant as it evolved.

We visited this restaurant 2 nights in a row, it was so good. The decor in the restaurant is simple and elegant, and the waiting staff most helpful with their suggestions of both food and wine. The meals themselves are traditional Sicilian, but with a modern interpretation, and were just fantastic. I would highly recommend the risotto with black ink.... More

The food was just okay. I found that several of the dishes were overlooked and although the family that runs it was extremely nice i would definitely not rate it among the top 5 restaurants in Palermo.
