Easter holidays in Palermo, we found this cosy restaurant in the heart of the city. The food is excellent and typical of the region. the Chef is very kind and while bringing the dishes explains you the tradition of the recipes. Our rate AAA !!!

We were walking a back street looking for a place to eat and this wonderful Sicilian couple encouraged us to follow them to Al Fondaco del Conte, and when we got inside they were all locals, it was one of those Rick Steves moments!! The chef invited us back into the kitchen, and his family was the rest of the... More

What a great recommendation from our hotel. Such a warm welcome from Diego the chef who delighted us with complimentary dishes before we even began the meal we ordered. He explained all the specialities. The antipasto was delicious, especially the caponata and our main dish of seabass was a triumph. A memorable meal ended with pistachio semi-freddo, good coffee and... More

Just a stone's throw from the Ballarò Market in Palermo, a gem of a family restaurant where the food is sourced locally. There is a lot of pride, artistry and love that goes into a meal. Diego, the chef, enthusiastically explains local recipes, traditions and then produces them on a plate with panache. Would recommend the Antipasto Terra di Sicilia... More

I arrived at my hotel in the afternoon and was pretty tired and didn't want to go far at night in an unfamiliar city. My helpful hotel manager recommended the Fondaco... More

We were welcomed with warmth and kindness on a very wet January evening. The food was delicious and comforting. Sicilian Soul food. Diego - chef - chatted enthausiatically of food in Palermo, Sicily and his garden. Truly one of the best dining experiences ever.

Excellent treatment and service - quality in the glass and in the food experience. A truely hidden treasure in a noon turistic area of Palermo.

This restaurant is run by a bunch of young, friendly and enthusiastic people, who offer a sophisticated version of classic Sicilian cuisine with an innovative twist.
