Great food, amazing dessert

First of all, I'm not the easiest to please when it comes to food (super picky eater) and their menu was a pretty difficult for me. At the end they gave me something off the menu and it was good. Their local white wine with fresh peach slices was super yummy! And the chocolate mousse kind of... read more

This place is a nice local Trattoria. It is fine, the staff were pleasant and tolerant of our hopeless Italian. The food we had wasn't great, it was fine but nothing exceptional. We ate far better food elsewhere in Sicily. It is cheap and worthwhile visiting if you are in the area but if you have to travel far and... More

This place deserves its rating not because it can compete with michelin star restaurants, but because it is excellent within its category. As a simple, authentic Sicilian trattoria, it totally hits the mark. True to its name, Mamma Ciccina serves uncomplicated dishes, cooked well and served in good portions for a very affordable price. I personally recommend the spaghetti alle... More

We've discovered this restaurant because the one we were looking for was closed. With a rate of 4,5 we were waiting for more. Still the ratio quality price is ok. But it stays average, nothing more.

We were so lucky to find this place. We read a review on Tripadvisor about this great restaurant in Palermo called Ai Cascinari. We went there only to find the place closed (we went there the next night). We were visibly upset and some guy came up to us (I speak Italian) and mentioned that Mamma Ciccina right up the... More

Me and my girlfriend was looking for another Trattoria but end up at Mamma Ciccina. Normally I don't write reviews, but the food was so good! We were in Sicily for a 8 day road trip and we had our best Italian meal here. The service was excellent, the food was excellent and the price/quality level was excellent. Unfortunately we... More

Taste, Portion, Service, Price-Quality all top notch. Some of the best seafood and dishes I have had. If I move to Palermo, this restaurant is one of the reasons why.

Me and my girlfriend were looking for another osteria (#2 on Tripadvisors best restaurants in Palermo) but, since, it was a Monday, the place was closed. So as we walked back Mamma Ciccina's was not 20 meters (~40 ft. for us Americans) from our original destination. So, we entered only to be greeted with an unforgetable meal. The service was... More

Actually we were looking for different place but it was closed. Luckly this place was open and Fabrizio and his family prepared really nice meals for us. They were so nice and friendly, they also gave a souvenir. The check was so good, we ate a lot of delicious food, only paid 60 euro totally. We thank to that place because... More
