Lovely food with a really unusual menu. We had squid meatballs, which were delicious. Service was great too.
It is not easy to find all the good restaurants in Palermo because there does not seem to be a real city center but the central area is scattered - Ferro on Piazza Sant'Onofrio is however worth the search and walk! The appeanrance of the restaurant is modern and it has a fairly nice outdoor seating area on the piazza.... More
Amazing polite service in a little corner of Palermo. Great place and great hospitality. Food were interested from the expected Sicilian food however, were not up to the expectations of the menu. Did not taste as well as one would think and when served, some dishes were not hot. So quite inconsistent.
This restaurant really is a little gem tucked away in the heart of Palermo town centre. The staff were really friendly and attentive. We have dined at quite a few restaurants in the area and this ranks as one of the best, the whole dining atmosphere was superb. We look forward to our next visit and will definately be spreading... I started with very good polpette - after a complimentary... More
The food was very tasty, perhaps slightly more complex/sophisticated than one would expect from a Sicilian restaurant (and that's not a bad thing). The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Ferro has a very trendy design but more importantly the food, cooked by Chiara Marrafa (and served by her mother and her mother's friend) is absolutely DELICIOUS. We had a nice meal here last night. The food was artfully arranged and fresh We had the salmon and caponata appetizers. Both were nice. The broccoli and crab pasta was a little lackluster but the ink pasta was quite good. Beef and Gorgonzola was high quality and the swordfish was very flavorful and inventive. The tiramisu was drippy. The chic decor of a fancy wine bar and a really good kitchen make this a lovely dinner choice in Palermo. After a week in Palermo we've seen the same food offered over and over. Finally at Ferro we found something new, more refined. The menu is small with limited choices, but we all found something to love. The women... More
