April is clearly not the time to fight for reservations - we walked in at 9pm, and were met with an almost empty restaurant, tastefully decorated in minimalist white tablecloths. The food was fantastic: several specials were described in a mix of our halting Italian and the owners halting English, but the outcome was superb, and the interactions were more... More

We visited this restaurant after a whole day's work, because led here by an insider, a Palermo born colleague. In the four days of my business in Palermo, with experiences of restaurants all of a good standard, this was at the top. The restaurant is renowned for its fish dishes, but also those who prefer meat here will be satisfacted.... More

Lovely food with a really unusual menu. We had squid meatballs, which were delicious. Service was great too.

It is not easy to find all the good restaurants in Palermo because there does not seem to be a real city center but the central area is scattered - Ferro on Piazza Sant'Onofrio is however worth the search and walk! The appeanrance of the restaurant is modern and it has a fairly nice outdoor seating area on the piazza.... More

Amazing polite service in a little corner of Palermo. Great place and great hospitality. Food were interested from the expected Sicilian food however, were not up to the expectations of the menu. Did not taste as well as one would think and when served, some dishes were not hot. So quite inconsistent.

This restaurant really is a little gem tucked away in the heart of Palermo town centre. The staff were really friendly and attentive. We have dined at quite a few restaurants in the area and this ranks as one of the best, the whole dining atmosphere was superb. We look forward to our next visit and will definately be spreading... Only two doors away from the very good Frida pizzeria (btw, Tripadvisor need to update their location pins - we walked right past this and Rosa Nero based on their map locations) rests a restaurant with a fairly limited menu, only four or five choices per course, but what choices! I started with very good polpette - after a complimentary... More

The food was very tasty, perhaps slightly more complex/sophisticated than one would expect from a Sicilian restaurant (and that's not a bad thing). The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Ferro has a very trendy design but more importantly the food, cooked by Chiara Marrafa (and served by her mother and her mother's friend) is absolutely DELICIOUS. My wife said her sea bass coated in Pistachio with Fennel in Balsamic was "the best she had had in a long time". They play great music from the 60's and 70's and... More

We had a nice meal here last night. The food was artfully arranged and fresh We had the salmon and caponata appetizers. Both were nice. The broccoli and crab pasta was a little lackluster but the ink pasta was quite good. Beef and Gorgonzola was high quality and the swordfish was very flavorful and inventive. The tiramisu was drippy.
