Description: The idea of a “Social Restaurant” in Palermo comes from our wish to merge local elements of Food, Art, Music and Fashion with more open ideas of the whole world. Social is our way of living, sharing our ideas with different cultures, let our guests feeling at home, relaxed, comfortable, at ease and pleasantly pampered. We are in love of Sicily and we try to let people feel it through the food, that now, more than ever before is strictly linked to our territory thanks to a recent cooperation with a "star Chef" who gave his personal touch to our cooking.Symbolic element of our restaurant is the social table where people of different nationalities can share the experience of a Dinner in Gagini Restaurant. Harmony and communication are the elements that characterize this space. And if you desire something different from a “Social Dinner” don’t miss our romantic and perfect tables for a Dinner for two or for a group of friends, family and affair. Our Maxim : Passion and hard work…in a Social way!

Went there on our first night in Palermo after a recommendation from our airbnb host. It was a great culinary introduction to Sicilian food. Great atmosphere inside and the food was to die for. They have a great wine selection too. Friendly service.

Really enjoyed our meal in Restaurant Gagini. The food was a modern take on traditional Sicilian cuisine, with several delicious dishes served. I particularly enjoyed a tuna dish. The service was friendly and attentive, the wine list good and reasonable and the building and location quite unique. Get a table outside if you can. Highly recommended.

Thanks to the recommendation of the young concierge from Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa we ended up dining at Gagini on a hot evening. Despite the shabby surrounding, this is a professional outfit that puts out proper slow food, regional cuisine. Sit outside, choose a bottle of Sicilian wine and watch the passeggiata. The owner keeps a personal cellar on the... More

Tremendous meal, wonderfully beautiful ambiance, great wine, quiet street, a little gem! We had a set menu of mainly seafood, the Tuna is amazing! A must for any visitor.

They serve slow food and also provide 'slow service'. The menu was mediocre and risotto was very 'normal' . I expected an astonishing risotto when i saw the prices. To sum up, it was a nice restaurant but it is not worth it.

Dear Sir, it can happen sometimes that the service is slower because our restaurant is aprreciated from a lot of persons, and so sometimes it is busy but never crowded ..Ususally our clients are relaxed and appreciate the atmosphere and the fact that our food is prepared at the moment because evrything is fresh and good, high quality. It can... More

We stumbled across Gagini whilst walking around the port at Palermo. We had intended to eat at the higher ranked restaurants in Piazza Marina but they didn't look appealing. So we found this place just off the square in a little lane peppered with interesting local activities and noises. However, it was a little Oasis and the staff and owner... More

We came across this place whilst strolling the streets of Palermo, the menu and setting looked great, so we went for it despite the relatively high price (Antipasti €16-22, Main €16-30). Service was good considering we didn't speak the language, but English speaking guests should not expect any embellishment or guidance with the menu/wine list. We were greated with a... More

Dear Sir, We cannot discuss your opinion about our dishes. You mentioned some of our best, for example the fried squids and mussels served on a cream of potatoes and a little bit of homey at the end. People come to eat this starter. We use to put Trapani's Salts (Slow food) on the table, We really do our best... More

Found this restaurant whilst exploring the side streets off the marina and contemplating lunch. Menu looked interesting and inside was cool in every sense of the word. The chef takes fresh food and flavour combinations very seriously and the presentation was superb. With intelligent and elegant service this was a lunch to savour by the mouthful. We enjoyed all three... More

We had decided to head out walking & see what we stumbled across - wow - we didn't expect to find a restaurant like this literally 5min walk from where we were staying. The restaurant was actually fully booked that evening but as we were early by Palermo standards, they welcomed us in & gave us excellent service. Even the... More

This was by far the best restaurant we dined in during our trip to Palermo. The food was delicious and inventive. The service was attentive. It's a quaint restaurant near the harbor and a short walk from the major shopping street Via Roma. The experience was special.
