This restaurant was our highlight in Palermo on the dining front. We were initially a bit taken aback by the fact that you need to ring the bell outside to get in and that you are seated in the basement but the environment is very nice, well decorated without being overwhelming and the service is impeccable. The menu is not... More

We arrived there on occasion due to neighbour restaurant where we booked a table suddenly decided not to work that night. Pretty light place in the basement. It's definitely elegant place in spite of its size. Intersting drawings on the walls. Attentive staff (though I insistently recommend check details vs. total of your bills). Good selection of wines though some... More

Food was not that good and service was bad. However, a definite local upscale spot. We were the only two seated for dinner but by the time we had eaten, the locals were coming in.

My husband and I were on the last night of our weeklong trip in Sicily, heading for Rome the next day, and I am so glad that this was our last meal in Sicily. Once we saw the plates being served to guests sitting around us, we knew that this was the meal we would splurge on (oh yes, ALL... More

We wanted to have a dinner to remember in Palermo and were very happy with our choice. We shared great appetizers, pasta and secondi dishes which were served in a very elegant downstairs setting. The staff were courteous and helpful in steering us to a great reasonably priced Sicilian red wine. Would go back if we had more days. Would... More

Curious, I took a look at current reviews for this ristorante, which I visited in 2013, but I forgot to write a review. Vagabonda was right-on, as usual. I stayed at the Hilton Excelsior Hotel, and they whole-heartedly agreed with this recommendation. I cannot add anything but bravissimo! Applause! and bis-bis! to these comments from recent diners. The ambience was... More

On a back street in Palermo, we were recommended this restaurant by our taxi driver. You cannot simply walk in you need to ring the bell. The head waiter was charming and helpful and the food, mainly fish was superb. Reasonably priced.

Visited on Sunday last week for a celebratory lunch. The whole experience was brilliant. The maître d was fantastic from start to finish. Food was all delicious and I urge you to try the tortellini with porcini. Full of locals so it must be the place to eat Will go again when next in Palermo

This felt like one of Palermo's slightly more formal restaurants and the other diners were mostly Sicilians who seemed to be regulars. The waiter was welcoming and efficient. Lovely menu and really delicious Sicilian wine which was not expensive. Would recommend this place and would definitely return.
