We had very satisfied lunch here. It was the first time having dessert and espresso in Italy. Sicilian style appetizer was very tasty and pesto pasta was also good. Grilled swordfish was tasty, too. All the menus we ordered were very good. Price is also reasonable. We had pistachio cake after meal. I would recommend this restaurant.

Trattoria ai Cascinari is the classic good bang from the buck trattoria you so fortunately find throughout Italy. We particularly enjoyed the antipasto - the polpetone de melanzane and the panelle were both oustanding. We also ordered 2 pasta firsts which were good although not awesome. Here you eat well at very reasonable prices. Service is very fast so this... More

We booked here for a romantic Saturday night dinner in Palermo having arrived the previous day. We were particularly swayed by a previous reviewer mentioning a lovely view of a church lit up at night from the balcony and other reviews of excellent local cuisine and good service. However the mention of a view was completely inaccurate, this was a... More

Slightly north of city center, near Palazzo dei Normanni, in the old antiques shop area. Waited for 45 minutes on a sunday afternoon (lots of Palermo families), but was worth it! Basic interior restaurant with very simple yet extraordinary tastfull food. Antipasti are superb and cannot be missed, especially extremely soft 'polpette di melanzane' and sardines with breadcrum. The 'mezzamaniche... More

An excellent place to eat in the heart of the old city. This unique place not far from the palazzo reale had treated me to one of the most extraordinary and exclusive Sicilian dishes of all...Black squid spaghetti. This spaghetti was absolutely delicious, and a delicacy that you can only eat in very few places. After this first dish, I... More

We ate at this place on the first night in Palermo. All the dishes ordered were OK, the stuffed octopus was probably the best.
