So i don't really have anything aggressively negative to say, but i also wouldn't call this a must see. I am a chef and so am looking for the best little local spots that tourists may not find and this seemed to be one. The place was empty when i arrived 5 minutes after they opened and was completely filled... More

Saturday night, no booking, but they found us a table. We had a fantastic meal, all local dishes, locally sourced. Quick and knowledgeable service from great staff. Full of local people. A meal to remember. Thank you!

The place had a friendly host, and great pasta. We had the Nero cuttlefish pasta and red mullet ravioli with clams. The Nero pasta had a rich flavor and the ravioli was distinct with local fennel and tomatoes. First time with fish ravioli and it was pretty tasty. Portions were perfect for lunch with the addition of free appetizers of... More

We found out about this place at the recommendation of another restaurant chef, which is never a bad thing. The first thing that strikes you about the restaurant is how it's full of locals. The next is how all the dishes look and sound amazing. The fish pasta I had was possibly the best I've ever had, remarkably flavorful and... More

We went there for lunch on a Thursday. Got the recommendation from a Slow Food Guide. When we arrived the restaurant was still rather empty, but soon it started to fill with lots of mostly local people. It didn't take us long to find out why: the food was excellent, fresh and authentic. We especially enjoyed the mixed antipasti della... More

Leaving the Trattoria ai Cascinari with the family, we all agreed we had spent a great evening out. For having lived and worked in the country, we can honestly only recommend the restaurant. Piero Riccobono, taking care of the guests in the restaurant and his brother Vito in the kitchen, really made us feel at home. Simple & fresh food/recipes... More

Great authentic Italian food in the heart of Palermo. If there is a queue the owners serve you bread and wine while you wait! Great food and great atmosphere!

This is a fairly out of the way place and after the triumph of finding it we had high hopes - particularly as it quickly filled with locals. The menu is very limited but the food was quite good. With the wine however, we were very adroitly cheated. Having ordered a bottle the wait staff came back with the bottle... More
