Piazza Marina and fish!

Wonderful fish ...so, so very fresh. Most helpful waiters. The best cassata I had. I was the only English person there which was very good....away from the tourist trail.

A mixed bag here. Starters were good - i had tuna tartare and my partner a tasty dish if bulgur wheat, broth and fish. However the main courses were poor - both my seabass and his tagliata of beef arrived cold. When i told the waiter my fish was cold, he did offer to make it again though even then... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal here finding the staff helpful and friendly and the food super. We all had the rabbit stuffed pistachio, a house special and it was amazingly good!

By the time we found this recommended restaurant, we had been eating some street food through the afternoon. So we ordered some lighter dishes. My husband had the cheese and jam starter which was very good. I had an insalata mista which had iceberg lettuce with about 12 arrugula ("rocket") on top. Never in Sicily have I had an insalata... We chose this restaurant after combing Trip Advisor reviews, and were not disappointed. We spent 4 days in Sicily and ate in 5 restaurants, and the food at the Cambusa was the most interesting and tastiest we had. It was not expensive either, so a good choice. The rabbit stuffed with pine nuts was good, the lamb with potatoes (particularly... More

Recommended by hotel staff. Reservation is a good idea. The food and service were good but there was a pantomiming magician working the tables; he interrupted our dinner conversation, I did not appreciate the intrusion. The restaurant staff should not allow condone/permit this activity. My friends liked the limoncello.

We went here as it was recommended by our hotel. We didn't book and as it was full we had to wait about 20 minutes - it was worth the wait! We were given a complimentary drink whilst waiting. We were the only English in there and the atmosphere was great. The food was superb, delicious sardine balls, pasta and... More

We always like to find somewhere the locals eat and a christening party was in full swing when we arrived, the restaurant was soon full to capacity - we were the only non-Italians - and when our food arrived it was clear why. Delicious fresh food expertly cooked and served by friendly staff . Try it if you get the... More

This restaurant is in a lovely setting by the marina. We had great seafood, including a pasta with sardines and fruits de mer. Decent local wine, too.
