This restaurant was included for lunch on our tour of places that are resisting paying off the Mafia. The owner is in hiding with police protection after refusing to pay the pizzo (mafia bribe/protection fee) . We were pleased to patronize a mafia free restaurant. Lunch was a bit starchy for our tastes but included local specialties such as caponata.

This is a traditional Sicilian food establishment which does hearty food. Take away or eat in you won't be disappointed if you like Sicilian real dishes from arancini to pasta con le sarde. The environment is pleasant and service good. Go to the third floor if you prefer restaurant service. 100% Recommended.

This place is really fun if you want to try the typical, local food, and experience a real Italian eatery atmosphere. Just a warning - it can be difficult if you're a tourist or aren't familiar with Italian. It is a very crowded place at lunch time. Firstly, you line-up (or crowd, as Italians typically aren't so good at queueing)... More

One of our friends from Palermo recommended us this place and we've been there for lunch. It was very crowded, seems like every single tourist knows this place. Delicious food, nice atmosphere. Vegetarian food available

Stated round the corner and was told about this "street food" place as they call it. The food is great, wonderful, yummy, I think we tried everything! Had a lovely glass of wine to go with it and then another!! Did not try the local speciality, a lung and spleen burger, however all the locals were having it! A really... More

Focaccia, arancini, and other yummy street foods. Consider this dining experience rather than sitting in an expensive restaurant. Excellent value.

We finished off a walking tour with lunch at this place. Sat outside in the courtyard (it was self-service that day) and enjoyed the food...sandwiches were great...wine was good and a great place to enjoy Palermo and the neighborhood!

A good memeory for this short stay in palermo. Comfortable sit outside at night. Maybe not too much asia faces there, so we got really good service at that night :-)
