At the outset, let me say we didn't eat here, so this review is merely on appearances. We had every intention of eating dinner here, after reading the reviews. When we arrived, there was not a soul in the restaurant, and when we walked in (no outdoor seating), it was hot, stuffy, and didn't smell good. We luckily found pizzeria... More

This trattoria was recommended by our B&B host and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It is a trattoria rather than a restaurant and expectations should be set appropriately. That being said, the staff were friendly, the food was delicious - particularly the vegetables, and it was fantastic value for money. Good atmosphere too on our Friday night visit with the... More

Our hosts at the B&B recommended this place as lunch for us, and were not disappointed. It was filled with locals when we walked in (always a good sign), and we were a little worried about how/what to order. They didn't have a menu as such, the produce is apparently brought in from the market everyday and the dishes are... More

reservation are recommended, apparently the owner is moody but we had a great time. the trattoria is more than simple, paper table cloths, plastic glasses for water and coffee, service is fast and food is excellent value for money.

Turned up at 830 on a Saturday night when the large restaurant was entirely empty and were turned away rather taciturnly as we hadn't booked. Went round the corner to the excellent Ristortante Ferro and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Despite having another week in Palermo, don't think we'll bother La Rosa Nero with our custom. Manners, and perhaps an offer... More

Amazing restaurant. Was recommended by Sicilians as the place to go and eat authentic cuisine. Fresh local produce cooked beautifully; good selection of dishes to choose from menus which change daily. My boyfriend eats meat and I have recently started eating fish. The menu was in Italian so we didn't really know where to start and asked the waiter to... More

We stumbled on this spot looking for any restaurant that had something OTHER than fish or meat to offer for a meal. We've been told the reason it's so hard to find vegetables is that the tourists won't eat 'em! This restaurant, names for the colors of the soccer team of Palermo, was a welcome relief from the usual fare.... More

If in Palermo this is one of two restaurants I ate in, both excellent for their food and selection, but mostly for their desserts. Don't miss dessert when in Sicily.

You can't miss this typical Sicilian restaurant, with all the official team supporters and the funny waiters. I appreciated the "melanzane involtini" (aubergine rolls), "verdure pastellate" (fried vegetables)and the "spaghetti broccoli e sparracini" (pasta with cabbages). But what conquered me was the "croccante al cannolo", a typical dessert.Definitely the best place to eat at in the city: warm ambience, supertasty... More
