This restaurant really deserves 3 1/2 stars but it is rounded up to 4 since trip advisor does not have that ranking. The food which is fresh but simple and does not deserve more than 3 stars. But the ambiance makes up for it with impeccable swift service and a roaming owner who seems to be friends with every local... More

We dined here twice and were impressed by the varied selections on the menu and wine list which were reasonably priced for this type of dining in Palermo. Although located on a very busy piazza with the attendant tourists, the presence of many locals in the restaurant was notable. The stuffed squid was excellent as were our other choices -... More

Ate based on recommendations of the staff - all excellent Sicilian choices - but the best was the cannoli - wow what a delicious desert...

Recommended by friends, this small but great restaurant lived up to its billing. Excellent Sicilian food and wine at reasonable prices. The service, especially from Francesca, was friendly, informative and efficient. The pasta dishes we had were suberb and the desserts were delicious. The canoli was unsurpassed - even after 2 weeks testing out all the regional variations.

Excellent Sicilian food and service. Would recommend spaghetti dishes with tuna roe. Fantastic appetizer is "Il Caldo" - 6 oven-baked delicacies, and the best homemade almond ice cream. Francesca is a warm and helpful server.

Lovely small restaurant off one of the main piazzas... Great fresh pastas and a wonderful wine list... Would definitely return!

Don´t get fooled by the location or humble entrance, this it an outstanding restaurant! The menu is extensive (in the best meanning of the word) with so many things I would like to taste, so we settled for sharing several antipasti, and chose separate Secondi and shared a few desserts. Our waiter was the most professional, skilled and patient person... More

We had a wonderful meal here, recommended by our hotel. The menu is completely in Italian however the very helpful waitress pretty much went through everything for us. We didn't have to go any further than the ravioli with lobster & bisque sauce! Also, a Sicilian white wine was suggested which was perfect with our meal. Would highly recommend Gigi... More

Very handsome restaurant with good food. My wife and I had an appetizer each and shared the sliced tuna with three dipping sauces – presentation was excellent as was the food. I was surprised that there was just us and another table of six people present at the restaurant that night. The other table was clearly locals. Service was attentive,... More

the food was very good; the service was excellent; the only issue was the ambiance which was interrupted several times by the owner having a very loud telephone conversation.
