Good choice for aperitif, shade and food

We arrived early for an aperitif at this little shady bar, then stayed on holding the table til the 8pm menu was written up on the board. The food was fresh and tadty and had interesting choices. Well worth tracking this diwn, in a side street off Via Etnea which runs right beside the Coin... read more

Stopped one day for lunch. The blackboard menu was really interesting , staff carefully explained the features of each dish. Ordered 1 x creamy pasta plus 1x baked sardines. Both dishes were fantastic Cold beers, wine by the glass. It's really good!!! So much so that; We returned for dinner the same day. Choose other dishes from the blackboard menu,... More

A nice place hidden in between busy streets. Beautiful shade with a cosy atmosphere. Cappucino and wine to recommend.

Wow, I would never have expected a great bar like this in Catania. They have Gin Mare with Mediterranean tonic and thyme. Also the Daiquiri was delicious and the antipasti selection. During 2 days we have been here 3 times! Also the location under a huge tree is very relaxing and it is not far from the city center.

We don't like to leave bad reviews but my wife and I did not like the customer service at this place. The place did not have free table outside so we put our name on the waiting list. We waited for more than 30min with no one coming to ask us if we wanted a drink while we waited. An italian... More

An aperitif served with wonderful tidbits makes this shady spot under a shade tree just a perfect place to sip before dinner .

Quite some tables outside in the shadow, few minutes from the busy Via Etnea. Small menu on a blackboard outside showing about 0-12 different dishes around 7 Euro each. Tried couscous with sausage and lemon sauce. Very tasty. ok service which might need a bit more attention to the clients. You surely go there for the outside tables and relaxed... More

This is a charming little restaurant/ cafe just off of the Via Etna. Not many tables and it got busy both lunchtimes we visited so advisable to book in advance. The decor inside is quirky and appealing. The food was simple but excellent, home made. Good value for money too. It had the feel of being family run, the young... More

We stumbled across this place on a Wednesday evening when everywhere else seemed to be shut. We arrived about 7pm ish and were told they started serving dinner at 8pm. We ordered a bottle of wine and antipasta. At 8pm the place absolutely filled with locals, so we knew the food must be good. It took a long time to... More

We were recommended to this wine bar, arrived, sat down and were totally ignored. Then 10 minutes later 3 locals arrived looking for a table. We were kicked off our table to make way for them and the ignorant rude waiter claimed it was reserved. Looking forward to going home. Will not be returning to Sicily.
