Great outside lunch time spot

Interestingly, for a city as warm as Catania, there aren't many outside spots to sit under a tree and have a long leisurely lunch. This is one of the few and it's really rather good. Seating about 30 outside on a variety of rickety mismatched table and chairs, the friendly waiters make you feel... read more

Perched under the canopy of a big tree you'll find a lovely side street terrace. The wine is good (no wait: great) the aperativo plate is cheap and the atmosphere relaxed. The staff is not the fastest in the world but they know their wines. And what the heck, you're not in a hurry anyway.

Been in Catania for three night and we have been there every night. Lovely local white wine, if you're lucky crisps and peanuts and AMAZING OLIVES!!!!! If you're treated like a local. Last night we had their Appetizer plate which was fabulous. Great English not only spoken but they are happy to speak it and do not make you feel... More

We found that place by chance and had a drink. We tried cin and tonic, and some chips, everything was ok, nice ambiance nice staff, they serve food also, worth a visit.

We were lucky to get a table at lunchtime at this very popular spot. The lasagna was outstanding. The description said something about zucchini, but I think it was a different kind of squash. Slightly sweet and creamy texture. Delicious. We also had a gnocchi dish that was fabulous. Highly recommended.

Been here multiple times, love it every time. Usually a little busy, but great atmosphere and very accommodating. Great selection at the bar (seriously, they have a ton of bottles) and always delicious offerings on the menu. The menu is not distributed on paper because it changes often based on seasonal ingredients, so do look at the board outside or... More

This place was recommended to me by the person I was staying with in Catania. What an amazing place. Great atmosphere, tables outside or inside in an oldy world type atmosphere. Brilliant food at fair prices, had the vegetable and feta cous cous followed by roasted pumpkin with gorgonzola sauce. All washed down with a glass of rose wine from... More

Busy indoors and out, this is where the locals come together to eat, drink, talk (quite exuberantly) and do what Sicilians do best- enjoy life. The food selection is great and varied. Smoking at the outdoor tables seems the norm but the breeze through the area makes it no problem for non smokers. Young and old, smart or student garbed,... More

Nice courtyard, good wine, good atmosphere. Really good Italian food - pasta, fish, salads etc. The menu changes daily, good for lunch too. We ate there twice and enjoyed it a lot!

The first food restaurant we have been to in Catania. Serves great al-dente pasta, caprese salad with fresh ingredients and many choices of good local wines. It's nice to sit outside, open for lunch too.
