Busy, busy.

Slap bang in the centre of the fish market, this place is adored by the locals. There were constant queues for tables when we visited. Well, if these fellahs can't produce fresh fish, no one can. If fish is your thing - make a visit . Good food, quick efficient service. It's fish HQ.

The most amazing sea food I have ever tasted. Everything is so fresh and tasty, we were served the local seafood specialties, it was really a memorable gastronomic experience. Highly recommend.

That's a cozy family seafood tavern in the fishmarket...They have a very good seleciton of seafood, very fresh and tasty. The starters are especially fantastic. the food is prepared in front of you, they really know how to work with seafood, the plates are prepared with the highes attention and care. This is a wonderful restaurant in Catania. The Chef performed like an artist preparing an elaborate seafood platter. We were welcomed with Perseco and an appetizer. The mussel soup was wonderful as was everything. Highly recommended.

We arrived and the restaurant was full so we queued for about 20 minutes. We ordered some local wine €16 and water which arrived quite quickly but then waited a further 25 mins for a menu which only arrived after I asked the waiter repeatedly. The whole thing then went steadily down hill from there with other tables with locals... More

The place is very well located and easy to find. We tried different dishes, mostly I would recommend frittura mista di pesce, and the swordfish was cooked nicely, so in a few words food was good and not pricey. Over all if you are in Catania and want to have seafood, il mercato del pesce offers that with various restaurants,and... More

The fishmaarket square has 4 restaurants, this being one of them. The interior is nice, a mixture of olde and modern. Entres look awesome - a unique plate created from raw (sometimes still moving) sea creatures. We skipped that, as we've had an entre earlier. the deep-fried mix fish plate was awesome, the mixed grill also good, but I'd go... More

As a Chinese, I can almost eat everything, but I did not finish the food here, due to the poor quality. I and my friend shared one squid ink spaghetti, which was OK. Then we ordered the grilled seafood (for three person) as the main dish. The grilled food had a pretty poor quality, in my opinion. They were grilled... More

Sorry but this was one of the worst fish meals we have had, which, along with very poor, more than slow, indifferent service made this not a very good experience. Worst was the over cooked fish which was nearly carbonised on the grill !! We did comment on this but do not think the waiter knew what to say !!! (Yes... More
