We were recommended this family run trattoria by our host Cristina at 5 Balconi, the B&B we were staying at in Catania. We weren't sure that the restaurant was open when we arrived. There were no other diners and no staff to be seen. We looked into the kitchen and after some brief miscommunications, we were led into another room... More

We found the restaurant again by accident as we were walking around in Catania. All I can say is that this is one of the best restaurants ever. The food is amazing and the service is great, lovely people there. We wen't back again on the next day and we would've gone there every night if our holiday wasn't over.... More

My friend read on tripadvisor about the place, so this is how we discover it. It was much more than we expected. The food is spectacular. Sea food, fish, pasta in a lot of combinations made this experience a remarkable one. We eat almost every day there, trying to taste all the goodies from the menu. The people are very... More

We found the restaurant by accident on our first night in Catania. It was just a small bistro with simple decorations and limited seating. I think the maximum number of diners is 32. The restaurant is clearly a family-run affair and they are really confident that they know what they are doing, so much so that they have no hesitation... More

This place was recommended, and turned out to be the best meal we had in Sicily. Spaghetti with pistacchio for first course, then baked fish with potatoes and tomatoes for the second course. I thought we were ordering one main course each, but they presented us each a pasta for 1st course and fish for 2nd course. It took a bit... More

Glad to have found this restaurant on our final night in Sicily. The fish was beautiful and the service was attentive and thoughtful. Just brilliant!

Our B&B owner said this is where he chooses to eat. In our last night we thought we'd give it a go and it was excellent. Authentic Italian cuisine, cooked in what looks like the family kitchen. Beautiful pasta, fantastic wine. Service is, as someone else has already said, a bit "Sicilian" but it's certainly not rude. Often us "Westerners"... More

We didn't expect too much here. We'd stayed close by a year ago and hadn't been tempted. It was almost empty when we dropped in on a Monday night but we're glad we took the plunge. Service was a bit, well, Sicilian - a touch offhand - but warmed during the meal and the food was excellent. These people really... More

Have eaten there twice in a week, including new years eve, and both times it had been a delight. Great attentive friendly service and lots of fresh beautifully cooked local fish. No frills restaurant but, Give it a go.
