This time we did not book before hand but we were very lucky to be seated before it was packed in just a few minutes. The pizza was very big, could have ordered one to share between two. good service, friendly staff.

This is a fashionable restaurant and it can be difficult to get a table at busy times. Also service can be a bit frosty if you don't fall in the trendy category. However the pizza we had were very good and too large to finish ( most people took home with them the remaining half of their pizzas). Other items... More

The B&B we stayed at recommended Il Sale for pizza. We ended up there at 730pm but they were not open yet and they allowed us to put our name down for 8pm. When we arrived back we were seated right away. The staff is really friendly and the pizza we ordered was one of the best I have had.

Very enjoyable evening with friends who recommended this restaurant to us. Food was very good, my starter Niuru'cu'Niuru was a delicious Sicilian pasta, described as maltagliati con ragout di maiale nero dei Nebrodi was very unusual. Wine and service also very satisfactory. No problem to recommend SaleArtCafe.

I hope this review is the exception since mist people have been pleased. We arrived early one night before 8. The place fills up completely. At first mostly tourists, later locals. We ordered the Pasta Norma and it was bad. Campbell tomato soup on top of mushy ravioli with some foam. Maybe other dishes are better. Locals mostly ordered pizza.... More

A friend and I had dinner here on a Saturday night recently and really enjoyed the service, the food and the atmosphere. This was exactly what I thought Sicily would be. The food was very good and though there was no English menu the waitress brought out an Ipad with photos for help. The pizza was what everyone else was... More

Another one where the high point is the people. While the food was not rock-my-world awesome, the quality was quite good and the staff were a pleasure. It was a bit noisy despite being small and intimate in appearance, but not due to loud music, simply from the noise of the people all around us.

This restaurant has a really creative menu which is worth to try! If you are a foreigner and you don't know the different type of seafoods and other dishes, it's very helpful to check the menu list with pictures in the tablets of the restaurant. Moreover the waiters are also ready to answer every questions you have. Very delicious meals... More

After doing some research on the best restaurants to go in Catania I was so eager to try Il Sale Art Cafe. Reading reviews is good but being there is terrific! I felt like a star! The waiters were so helpful and also spoke very good English!! We had complimentary appetizers, and their olive oil is something spectacular! I did... More

Busy place down an atmospheric back alley off the main drag. Large portions of food but not that well put together, fancy plates don't improve the food. I didn't have one but the pizzas looked very good. Decent wine by the glass
