My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant for the first time on a hot summer night. After a short wait we were seated outside. Had the option of a English menu. This was our first restaurant in Sicily and didn't fully grasp the amount of food for antipasto (appetizers), primo (pasta) and secondo (meat). We ordered so much food!... More

A member of our group recommended this restaurant and I am glad he did. This was the best dish of Spaghetti E vongole (spaghetti and clams) that I have ever eaten. The dessert was outstanding. Although seating was out on the street, it was enclosed with glass partitions. The bill for 11 people was the lowest per person on my... More

I had dinner here one night in October with my son at the recommendation of our hotel. We had a great meal and were amazed by the fairness of the price considering the fantastic location and nice outdoor terrace. Good service with a smile. So far our best meal in Sicily!

Quite honestly as an American eating in most places in Sicily outdoors, it is hard to not enjoy the atmosphere that one is presented with. This location, while during the day is a non descript, stuck in the middle of the city location. At night the darkness allows you to feel as if you are in a nicer place. The... More

OK, not the best quality but pretty good anyway. The outstanding part is the price of the food and drink. We assumed that we would be getting appropriately small portions and ordered accordingly - big mistake - we couldn't finish it all. The waiters are a floor show all on their own. Well worth a visit as the place is... More

Somewhat dubiously we went there onour concierge's recommendation. A great quiet location just off the main piazza Stesicoro, but a very lively mostly outdoor resto that seats around eighty people under umbrellas. The menu is extensive and the prices are astonishingly low: a huge plate of pasta for four euros, a half acre of bistecca fiorentina for 8 euros, a... More

A very typical trottoria. We had pasta "nan" and spaghetti carbonara--both were good, but not exceptional. But, the prices were very reasonable, so it is good value. Good location for the restaurant, just a few blocks from the Roman Theater.

This place was heaving with locals when we went and we think this is a good indicator of a good place. We were lucky to get a table. We spent a lot more and were a lot less satisfied when we dined around piazza duomo (especially the place directly behind the fountain) The food here was delicious, with good sized... More

Our hotel recommended we eat here as we were looking for traditional Sicilian food. It was a great find, located just off one of Catania's main squares. The food was good, traditional fare served in quite rustic surroundings and the place had a real buzz about it. Most tables were filled by Italians which we took as a good sign.... More

Good classic Italian food - very reasonable prices and good service. We wondered around the town and where not impressed at all, but the guy at the hotel recommend this place....usually I'm cautious when this happens as I've been to a few dumps.....but...this place as really really good. The towns a bit dirty and run down, but this place is... More
