Really fresh fish well cooked.

Simple trattoria with simple aim - to provide excellent quality fish and seafood simply cooked. Busy, informal and friendly atmosphere. Very good choice of dishes. The mixed appetizers are really excellent. Reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommended - we went twice.

Located next to the fish market (smelly but you get used to that) this restaurant serves good fresh fish. Too bad that good fresh fish is wasted by the cook, by adding unnecessary quantities of lemon to the carpaccio of pesce spada (swordfish) and too much salt to the smoked salmon pasta and the seafood soup. Also the toilet could... More

Recently ate at this seafood restaurant in Catania following a recommendation. We went for Sunday lunch and very much enjoyed both the food and the relaxing Sunday afternoon ambiance of the place. Compared to many other Catania restaurants including the seafood place next door, this restaurant The place is certainly packed on a Sunday - and mainly with locals which... More

Probably one of the best Catania restaurants. Located in the market place, it is the perfect symbiosis of a fantastic service and the quality of offered fresh fish and seafood.

We had lunch at the restaurant on a Thursday. The market was still going on when we sat down (outside) so there was always some sort of noise from it. Since my wife's son is not a fish eater and neither is their two year old son, my wife and I enjoyed a plate of very fresh raw fish, not... More

I had dinner at Osteria Antica Marina in late April on the positive reviews at Tripadvisor and other websites. We had Spaghetti Vongole which was good. We selected a plate of Gambera Rosso (or what looked like it) from The Display Counter of "fresh" Fish. The staff confirmed that they were Gambera Rosso but when it was grilled and brought... More

This restaurant has access to very good raw fish and seafood...that's about it for this place. Service is not friendly, lots of foreigners in that place. You can choose your fish or seafood by yourself and ask how you want it : steamed, grilled, fried. About 60 EUR/kg. Not cheap.

Overlooking the famous Catania fish market, this restaurant is not to be missed if you love seafood. We got the 30 euro menu that came with a tasting of different seafood dishes, 2 pasta dishes and then one fish main course. It was worth EVERY penny and was one of the best meals we had in Italy.

We just finished a month in Italy. We were blessed to find the very, very best restaurants from north to south, ending here in Catania, Sicily. Antica Marina was the best seafood in Italy. We had gone to the fish market earlier in the day to scout out where the restaurant was located. Do that and you will understand the... More

We had heard that it was expensive and we knew that it was hard to get a table so we took the precaution of getting our hotel in Ragusa Ibla to reserve a table for us. We arrived somewhat early. For a very busy restaurant they were extremely gracious, they let us leave our little suitcase there while we walked... More
