The best seafood meal of our lives

We had heard that it was expensive and we knew that it was hard to get a table so we took the precaution of getting our hotel in Ragusa Ibla to reserve a table for us. We arrived somewhat early. you would expect fresh fish from an Osteria in the middle of a fish market. that's what you get and a lot more. as with many Sicilian eateries you can choose your fish eyeball to eyeball from an open display of the day's catch. and of course choose the preparation. this place also serves delicately prepared pasta dishes with their... One of the most expensive restaurants I have been to in Catania. Service, food, selection is excellent but the price is exorbitant for an Osteria right in the centre of a fish market!

Great dishes, very helpful waiter that actually speaks English ( most people don't ) the fish sop, and the clams and mussels were delicious!

This is not a neighborhood osteria in the middle of the incredible fish market in Catania. Maybe it used to be, but, while it's still in the same place, it's upscale now. We stopped there and found we had to make lunch reservations for later, which we did. The food was very, very good. The staff is efficient but not... More

Best seafood i had so far in all Italy. There are plenty of seafood appetizers, variety of crustaceans and fresh fishes. I never forgot taste of razor mussels and baby calamaris and octopus

We had a large party of 17 and the restaurant accomodated us graciously. We asked to be served "family style" with our waiters bringing out small plates of appetizers, fried and grilled seafood so we could all try a little of everything. Everything was delicious! Moderately priced. There were street musicians that went around the tables to perform, they were... More

Sitting in the heart of the fishing market, is the real thing. Stick to the set meals to get a true taste sensation of sicily. 7 plus anti pasta starters followed by 2 beautiful pasta dishes... Don't miss it.

Excellent food with a lot of fish meals. All aspects of the food was good. Service however was awful for us as tourists. We had a reservation for seating outside and we insisted on having that or we would go elsewhere. They found a table but they treated us badly after that. We were taking our time enjoying the meal,... More
