As regular visitors to Oristano we were tempted to try this restaurant based on a desire to try something new and on the reviews left by others. We booked a table earlier in the day but didn't need to. The place was very tastefully presented and decorated with real style, the old brick vaulted ceiling rendered and painted white. We... More

Heading into Oristano for the day, we were eager to try some local fare. The only establishments we could find open were unfortunately cafes. On hunting a bit further we stumbled across this very elegant restaurant. We were greeted warmly, even though we had come in off the street and possibly looked every bit a tourist. We were seated immediately... More

We were enthusiastically urged to try this restaurant, and we are glad that we did. The Sample Gastronomy Menu with matched wines was a treat that had our travelling companions singing its phrases. Each dish was beautifully presented and wonderful to eat. This is a family enterprise. The son is the chef who is willing to explain each dish in... More

Our family had the most wonderful meal here. Really worth a visit and wonderful service and ambiance. Fish was fresh and outstanding and the potatoes were incredibly delicious. Family run and well loved. The desserts were outstanding. Bravo. Excellent!

Josto is run by an enthusiastic young couple who are injecting real skill and imagination into their food. In celebration of a birthday we couldn't resist the 6-course tasting menu - which proved to be almost entirely fish, by the way - and were offered the option of wine by the glass so we could also "taste" in this department.... After several failed food ventures in Sardegna, we found this restaurant with Trip Advisor and decided to go and try it out. We were pleasantely surprised by the great service (chef comes out to answer questions and say hello) and quality of the cuisine (all is yummy, especially grill menu) ! We were totally bluffed by the condiments served (Olive... More

The enthusiastic young chef/maître/sommelier of this restaurant, in the central Hotel Duomo, does certainly a decent job. Much more imagination than in any other restaurant I've tried in the area, fresh ingredients, accurate service, even a tentative presentation. The result is not always perfect but, in the gastronomic desert of the Oristano Province, it certainly stands out. Good wine list... More

The restaurant is in the Duomo hotel, and benefits from its excellent staff. There is a choice of a short a la carte menu and two tasting menus. These are good value and rely on local ingredients- so lots of variety from day to day. The food is tasty, beautifully presented and takes a fresh look at the traditional Italian... More
