Small but excellent menu selection

Their suggested courses, for either fish or meat based meal, were each beautifully prepared and presented, with tastes that make you want to savour every last mouthful. The wine list is enormous! It really was one of the best meals for a very long time.

Quite small, the restaurant has great food in a modern interpretation of traditional cuisine. Not inexpensive, there are still choices that can be made to sample the work of the chef. The pork belly was stellar. Period! The mixed grilled meats were very good, frankly not as good as the pork belly. The were extensive wine choices, but unfortunately, all... More

I had a meal here recently and was really excited by the interesting range of things we had. We started by sharing a range of local cured meats with lovely house made bread, then I had a dish called 'Steamed Sheep '...this was an unfortunate translation as it was so delicious..beautiful tender piece of lamb, sitting on steamed but crispy... Me and my son went in this restaurant on the august 11th after that we found all the restaurants in the center city busy, so we moved to Via Vittorio Emanuele looking for this restaurant that was suggested me from the other my little son. The enviroment seemed very selective but we found it very clean and tidy. The personnel... More

As regular visitors to Oristano we were tempted to try this restaurant based on a desire to try something new and on the reviews left by others. We booked a table earlier in the day but didn't need to. The place was very tastefully presented and decorated with real style, the old brick vaulted ceiling rendered and painted white. We... More

Heading into Oristano for the day, we were eager to try some local fare. The only establishments we could find open were unfortunately cafes. On hunting a bit further we stumbled across this very elegant restaurant. We were greeted warmly, even though we had come in off the street and possibly looked every bit a tourist. We were seated immediately... More

We were enthusiastically urged to try this restaurant, and we are glad that we did. The Sample Gastronomy Menu with matched wines was a treat that had our travelling companions singing its phrases. Each dish was beautifully presented and wonderful to eat. This is a family enterprise. The son is the chef who is willing to explain each dish in... More

Our family had the most wonderful meal here. Really worth a visit and wonderful service and ambiance. Fish was fresh and outstanding and the potatoes were incredibly delicious. Family run and well loved. The desserts were outstanding. Bravo. Excellent!

Josto is run by an enthusiastic young couple who are injecting real skill and imagination into their food. In celebration of a birthday we couldn't resist the 6-course tasting menu - which proved to be almost entirely fish, by the way - and were offered the option of wine by the glass so we could also "taste" in this department....
