Great restaurant in Cagliari

The Luigi Pomata Restaurant is located on the busy street of Regina Margherita, right on the edge of the historic Marina area of Cagliari. It's got an informal bistro like atmosphere. The chef and owner, Luigi Pomata himself, served us and everywhere we looked during the evening, there he was... read more

This restaurant clearly is on the innovative side of the restaurant spectrum. However, not every innovation hits the mark. I wonder if we had ordered different dishes, would we have enjoyed our meal more? In total, we ordered 3 dishes. 2 bombed, 1 hit the mark. The carpacci platter was a cross between carpaccio and sashimi. Fail. The result is... More

Leisurely and delicious dinner. We dined outside, Saturday evening; made a rez about an hour before showing up (prob a good idea, esp on a wk-end). Arrived at 9 and the place was full soon thereafter. The tuna really was amazing, as advertised (I had it 2 different ways, chopped/raw/seasoned with a bufalo mozzarella sauce for primi--was skeptical but was... More

I've been there for the first time and I really enjoyed the quality and the taste of the dishes. If I have to choose, I'd say that the ventresca is really the highlight of the restaurant.

We were on our way to have lunch in a other restaurant when we passed by. A look at the menu was enough to change plans. We didn't regret the choice we made. Heavenly cream of Jerusalem artichokes with firm but tender juicy mussels and sea urchin. Well balanced dish. Nice ravioli with pumpkin and truffel. The freelance with lobster... More

Always the freshest fish and an inventive menu, traditional but with a contemporary twist. Try the fantastic crudo and the spaghetti with tuna, flavored with a delicate lemon, capers and basil infusion.

My husband and I dined here on a recent visit to Malta, and couldn't have been more pleased. This restaurant specializes in tuna, fresh and beautifully prepared. The chef is out and about, explaining the dishes and attentive to any questions. They happily split plates for us since the servings are large. This restaurant also serves sushi, which we did... This is a fish restaurant. They are specialized in tuna dishes. Their tunas are juicy, this is unusual experience to eat such good tuna. My husband ate tuna steak, me - tuna in 3 kind of cooking, both was excellent. The service is very professional. Interesting interiors, good localization in marina district.

I have been there with my girlfriend for dinner and we have liked very much. The place is very well situated and the ambient is quite nice. The food and the wine were well recommended by the chef and by the employees. Nice place in Cagliari!

An interesting menu with good value set lunch. All our dishes were of finest quality, fresh and well cooked. Excellent wine recommendation. Inventive desserts (beer tiramisu?). Very quick service- rarity in Sardegna ;-)
