Good modern cuisine restaurant in Cagliari

This restaurant offers a refreshing choice for those who are fed up with the pasta&pizza options available in some tourist traps around. It specialises in fishes with a modern twist-so called creative cuisive. We found the quality a bit irregular for its value, with some dishes just brilliant and... read more

I already visited this restaurant a long time ago, and when I met with a friend near there we decided to try their business lunch. It was a sunny and hot day so we stayed in the terrazza – that was completely empty when we arrived, so I found it was a little bit rude from the waiter to ask... More

If you are foodie visiting Cagliari (or Sardinia) for the first time, you will likely, as did I, fall in love with the food. It is simple, fresh and delicious. It is food that has been sun-kissed, food that is honest, food that is direct from the land and the people. It speaks volumes of the Sardinian culture and is... More

great! I Couldn't choose a better place to show to my French family the Sardinian cuisine as I'm Tired of those touristic places that makes u pay for something that you don't get such us good service and good food. Being originally from Cagliari living in London from 2011 I've personally never tried Mr Pomata and in September was the... More

This restaurant offers a refreshing choice for those who are fed up with the pasta&pizza options available in some tourist traps around. The food was incredible; specializing in tuna and sushi. We had both and it was some of the best we've ever had. The tuna with pasta was excellent. We ate outside, got there early and the place filled up with locals and tourists, alike. We ran into other tourists we had met in Su Gologone which was fun, but we... More

The restaurant looks rather chic and, on the evening that we were there, the clientele were mainly youngish to middle-aged professionals of the town. The service was rather slightly frantic and bustling, with people queuing for a table. We skipped the first course and I ordered a tagliata di manzo (usually a thick piece of good quality beef, charred on... More

Drawn here by the entry in Michelin and Tripadvisor reviews. On balance the food was no better than decent and could be improved by seasoning. The menu is challenging and when the waiter was asked about the fish of the day he had to rush off to the kitchen to find out. Hot plates would also help. Toilets were a... More

A lot of good choices of wine. Nice and professional service. If you order the Italian food, you won't be disappointed. A big mistake is that they serve fish carpaccio by Japanese style, like Sashimi. It wouldn't be a mistake if the choice and quality of the fish are good. But unfortunately not.

Average food in an intimate setting. The waiter was very good but I think the food may have seen better days , or we were just there on a night when the chef was less inspired.

We went to Luigi Pomato a couple of times during our week long stay in Cagliari. It was recommended by our local hotel as a specialist in fish dishes. The menu certainly majors on fish although there are a couple of meat options. The food is good and the staff are helpful and gave us really nice wine recommendations. Our... More
