I don't know why I never visited Sa Domu Sarda before: it is one of the very best place for local food in Cagliari. I had wonderful fried aubergines and delicious fregola with a zucchine cream. The house wine (Carignano di Monica) was excellent as well. Portions are big, friendly staff.

Great & healthy food, good house wine (!). The aubergine (melanzana) dish and chickpeas salad was excellent. Zucchini risotto & deer stew was good. For those not used to eating in Italy: most dishes come with few ingredients, so consider ordering a couple and sharing.

Before catching our flight home, we decided to treat ourselves to authentic Sardinian food. This restaurant did not disappoint. We started with the mixed cheese plate followed by the garbanzo salad. The mixed grill was delicious with a glass of wine...a great way to end a tour of Sardinia.

We were recommended to have the traditional Sardinian dishes of culugiornes and fregola here along with the dessert sebadas. The food was simply delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something authentic and not too touristy.

I will keep this short and sweet, go for one of the tasting menus to experience the best food in Cagliari. We were served a feast of amazing food, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was superb and the air conditioning made it a relaxing experience in a heat wave! Book a table and see for yourself. This restaurant was adviced to us by our B&B owner. I should say that I was sceptical in the beginning, he ssaid it is typical sarda kitchen, and I was doubting if it was too touristic. But I also know that in Italy even touristic places or aeroport cafes are amsing... so we went to try... and it was a... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel we were staying at and it did not disappoint. The service was great as was the food and wine. I had the typical Sardinian pasta which is a bit like risotto with artichokes and courgettes and it was delicious. The mixed grilled meat was also wonderful, which consisted... More

We ended up eating at this restaurant twice, although at our first visit the service was a little mixed, with who I think was head waitress being a little offhand. The menu is authentic Sardinian food, Very traditional - so be prepared to see some things you would not expect. The food is excellent however and you can eat very... More
