This restaurant was described by my Footprint Travel Guide as serving abundant portions and it uses a word like bucolic to describe it. I wonder if the writer actually ate there. The beeps I heard coming from the kitchen were telling for the microwave style kitchen. And the portions, certainly, were not abundant. The restaurant serves only meat dishes for... More

Not a typical, run-of-the-mill restaurant, the food was well presented and generally delightful. A bean soup as our starter was interesting, and though the beans were a tad tough, the flavor was delicious. While the pasta with porcini mushrooms and sausage was not to our taste, it was correctly cooked from all perspectives other than our taste sensibilities (the pasta... More

Very good food. The restaurant focuses on the traditional sardinian food and its speciality are the diner menus. Cosy atmosphere and nice staff. Recommended!

The restaurant looks very nice from outside, and is very welcoming indeed. But the food was absolutely terrible- i orderedthe eggplant starter, with tomato sauce (which costs 8€ for no reason) and got eggplant swimming in oil, with awful taste. The waitress, which is supposed to be attentive to the customers, ignored me not eating the dish, and in thd... More

the restaurant focuses on the traditional sardinian food and its speciality are the diner menus. unfortunately, all the menus include meat so it is not a good option for vegetarians. however, pasta without meat can be ordered as a primo.

Good service and really great food. Excellent variety, we had a sharing plate for 5, with chickoeas, several kinds of meat and salads etc. Traditional dishes for refined palates.

I don't know why I never visited Sa Domu Sarda before: it is one of the very best place for local food in Cagliari. I had wonderful fried aubergines and delicious fregola with a zucchine cream. The house wine (Carignano di Monica) was excellent as well. Portions are big, friendly staff.

Great & healthy food, good house wine (!). The aubergine (melanzana) dish and chickpeas salad was excellent. Zucchini risotto & deer stew was good. For those not used to eating in Italy: most dishes come with few ingredients, so consider ordering a couple and sharing.

Before catching our flight home, we decided to treat ourselves to authentic Sardinian food. This restaurant did not disappoint. We started with the mixed cheese plate followed by the garbanzo salad. The mixed grill was delicious with a glass of wine...a great way to end a tour of Sardinia.
