Worthwhile trip for excellent seafood

We were recommended this place by a local, and it was excellent. I had the Frutti di Mare pizza (Fruits of the sea), and it was a superbly prepared thin-base pizza with fresh clams, mussels, shrimps, and octopus. Loved it. Good wine, slightly impatient staff, fair price. If you are looking for... read more

Arrived with empty tables in view n turned away so we booked for the next evening just to be sure. Turned up on time the next night and they could not find our booking then said they don't speak English and the guy who took our reservation admitted nothing. They left us standing with no answers no dinner n no... More

We came for a quick meal and were not disappointed. The antipasto was beautiful and fresh comprising of a few seafoods, our pizzas were huge and probably one could be shared between two unless you are starving. They were delicious and we drank a local white white. Very impressive.

In this simple restaurant you will be able to taste a good variety of seafood, prepared in a simple but tasty way. On the menu also some meat options, for those who do not fancy seafood. The reastaurant is quite popular, so it is better to have a reservation.

Sadly, not what we expected or were looking forward to as frequent eaters of freshly caught fish. The whole fish looked & smelled fresh on presentation but the grilling was poor as was that of the squid . No flavour or freshness as you would expect of what we saw & chose. Both fillets differed in size & we could... More

Local's restaurant offering fabulous pasta, pizza and fish! We had a lovely table outside for dinner (a little hot as it was enclosed). The meal began with reasonably priced wine and an extensive menu. The waiter recommended the macaroni with prawns and aubergine which was to die for! The only issue was it took over 40 minutes between ordering our... More

Il Pesce d'oro is a very popular place, also with locals, offering the standard Sardinian dishes and pizza. You chose yourself the fish you want to eat. The Vongole was delicious as well as the grilled fish. Pizzas ok. The restaurant itself is very basic. Food quality prevails over decoration.

This was the first restaurant we went to after landing and it was no dissapointment. Their seafood is very good and so was the typical sardinian wine our waiter suggested. The staff speaks English and if you're lucky even Spanish or French. One tip: many fresh fish dishes go by the weight, something we didn't quit understand untill we saw... More

I will remember the taste of my linguine with crayfish forever - absolutely divine taste & beautifully presented on the plate. A great local white wine to accompany the meal. Followed by coffee & grappa night-cap. Heavenly!
