We stumbled on this restaurant about five years ago and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and open friendliness of the staff, We have been there on numerous occasions since then (we have visited Alghero over 20 times in the past five years and have eaten here on almost every visit) and the consistency of service... This place is a jewel in Alghero. I had the best pasta arabiata I have ever eaten and that for 8 Euro! A bottle of Cannonau is 13 Euro, a liter of housewine is 6 Euro... On top of that you sit in a nice environment and staff is very helpful. A must do in Alghero.

We had the best pasta here on our entire 11 day trip in Sardinia. Definitely try the house pasta ( al vecchio mulino )!!, the arrabiata, the lasagna and the gnocchi a la sarda!!. Friendly staff and owner. We even got to take our tiramisu home with us in a glass bowl, which we ofcourse returned the next day as... More

We wandered around looking for a bite to eat on a Saturday evening. We didn't want anything fancy and were lucky to get a table here. It was the best meal we had during our stay. We didn't have dessert though we went to Oops!

Walking around Alghero on our first night we found this restaurant tucked away down a cobbled street. It was very busy, as a result we googled it to find it consistently appeared on many websites so decided to give it a go. On arrival we were made to feel welcome. The decor was great, it looked like an old tunnel... More

I come here every time I visit. Best gnocchetti sardi I have ever eaten. Consistent great service. Prices are honest, for they give you nice servings. Pizzas are giant but most of all tasty! Consider a reservation, as finding a casual free table in the summer months is nearly impossible.
