Ok food but expensive for what it is...

A cute, small restaurant, this place has a reasonably diverse menu, but is fairly expensive (local wines at €20+) for the cuisine served. Typical Sardinian fare, adequate (if somewhat slow) service. Mussels were flavorful, and plentiful in the antipasto (soup).

Loved this restaurant. Staff were smiling and welcoming from the start and the atmoshere was nice. Due to dietary restrictions I can no longer eat fish, dairy or gluten so have been eating a lot more meat. The grilled beef was by far the best piece I have tasted for as long as I can remember. This restaurant has a... More

This restaurant was recommended by the landlord of our B & B ; it is known for using locally produced food and wine. We hadn't booked but managed to get the last table in a small ,slightly cramped downstairs room. There is more seating on the upstairs terrace which overlooks the street. We saw many other people turned away so... More

Found the staff friendly, the atmosphere good and the food very good. Slightly cramped, but comfortable none the less, with tables on an outside terrace upstairs and at street level inside. Booked for a second night before leaving the first visit

I was traveling through Alghero alone and texted both my parents after eating here that I had just eaten one of the best meals of my life...yes, for me, it was that good. From the water and bread to the wine and fillet of beef it was all mouth watering. I saw this restaurant suggested in a Lonely Planet guide... More

Booked for 20:30 but sent away for 20 minutes. Returned and waited another 10 minutes. Apparently they had a tourist party of about 20 in at the opening (19:30) and expected them to be finished in an hour!! However, good menu and great food. Though, when my main course arrived, I had to return it for the correct accompaniment for... More

We stumbled across the restaurant and thought we'd give it a go due to the slow food and the queue of people waiting to get a table, a fair few of which seemed to be local. The restaurant was very busy around 9pm and we asked for a table went for a walk to check other places out and came... More

Before the holidays I read a lot on tripadvisor reviews of restaurants in Alghero. La Botteghina has a very high recommendations so we decided to pick for one of our dinner. My partner is a chef so the expectations were very high. We booked a table for dinner on Monday for Fridays 9.30pm. We showed up punctually and we were... More

During 5 nights in Alghero we ate at this great little restaurant 3 times. The first and second time we ate downstairs in the cosy dining room, the third time we were show up to a table on the roof terrace which was lovely. Everything we ate here was superb. The cured meats and cheeses to start were excellent and... More
