Genuine place

Me and my boyfriend ate here in July 2014, and we had two kinds of pasta. The atmosphere was calm and cosy, and we really enjoyed our food. It feels genuinely like Italy, and we would recommend it!

This place provided a great atmosphere as well as food. You could tell it was made with love as the chef/owner came out to chat with us and was really genuine in his conversation. Please try the chocolate moose for dessert!

Trattoria Cavour was delicious! The cook/owner came out and talked to us making suggestions for our meal. Everything was made to perfection and tastes delicious! The only problem we had was their limited hours of operation. We finally caught them one day and secured reservations for the evening and were happy we did.

If You want to try the real taste of Sardegna You should visit Trattoria Cavour - the cuisine is delicious there! The staff and chief were outstanding - very helpful and kind! They helped us choose among variety of traditional Sardegnan meals and vines. I would reccomend this place to everyone! Can't wait to dine there again. p.s. Greetings to... More

We went here by chance and since they only had a few tables outside, we went in and asked if we can reserve one for later. This was actually good, because we were later sitting outside next to the door and the waiter had to sent away everyone because they were completely fully booked - so we were lucky. The... More

We had been here before 2 years ago. This time We booked a table for 2 for 8:30. My wife ordered filet steak. I ordered sea bass. My starter of prawns in sugar & honey was an insult to the prawn. We were told that the filet steak was gone but they could serve another beef cut- supposedly the 'same'.... More

Located in a narrow street in the Old Town behind the ramparts, it is a characterful building We were lucky to get in without booking. The staff were friendly but English is limited - we liked that, it was less touristy. It is a traditional Sardinian Trattoria wth freshly cooked local food. The menu is shortish but very adequate -... More

We had a very good meal here while visiting alghero. We both choose the menu for 30 Eur, one tuna and the other fish. Both were good with good portions. Service was very good. The chef comes out and welcomes everybody. It seemed to be full of Italians which is a good sign. Overall we would recommend.

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant this evening, but it was certainly nothing special. It does have roast pork without needing to pre-order, but it is just three thick rounds of a roast pork with some oily potatoes? Not sure if I missed something there. We also had the lobster linguine which was very tender and tasty, but... More
