Turbot and tiramisu

A match made in heaven - find this lovely little home-run restaurant, meet the chef in his bright blue bandana, let him recommend his fares (but go with the turbot and tiramisu for dessert anyway!!) and enjoy.

This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host and did not disappoint. Pepe the owner was a real character and a great host (getting talking about his little wine farm in Oliena, from whence the house wine comes, and you will soon be best mates). Although his English is limited, his wife who runs the front of house, speaks English... More

Had really tasty authentic Sardinian food at an outside table twice in our week stay in Alghero. Really good friendly service. Just need to book in advance if you are there in peak season. Regarding the Porcetto (traditional Sardinian roast pork) it was good but no better than a good Sunday roast pork in England. Suggest it is better to... More

We were warmly welcomed by the owner-chef, who spoke pretty good English. The porchetta was outstanding as were two fish dishes. Try the bacon-wrapped prawn skewer appetizer. We had a most enjoyable evening.

We visited this restaurant as another reviewer had said that the suckling pig was good. I would say that the pork was ok but not that good. The prices were reasonable but the service was slow especially as the place got busier. The surroundings are pleasant and the menu varied.

We managed to get a table here without booking, for once our timing was good! Other people who came in after us were not so lucky. The food was very good and was reasonably priced. I had sea bream with a Mediterranean sauce. Superb. The house wine was very good so no need to splash out. If in Alghero, make... More

Sardinia is over-populated in August! Alghero especially so. Our first choice restaurant was fully booked at 2000 hrs., so we were getting worried. Cavour was filling fast and had a table or two. We became pleased that we changed. My wife and I selected the set Sardinian fish menu. Mussels, followed by spaghetti vongole. The 2nd plate was sea bass.... More

Lovely place with very friendly accommodating staff. It is on a small street near the old town walls, I came in pretty late, at around 22h00 after a day of sightseeing. I was a little worried the restaurant would maybe be closing. The staff were very accommodating however and showed me to a table. I had only one dish which... More
