We had a very good meal here while visiting alghero. We both choose the menu for 30 Eur, one tuna and the other fish. Both were good with good portions. Service was very good. The chef comes out and welcomes everybody. It seemed to be full of Italians which is a good sign. Overall we would recommend.

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant this evening, but it was certainly nothing special. It does have roast pork without needing to pre-order, but it is just three thick rounds of a roast pork with some oily potatoes? Not sure if I missed something there. We also had the lobster linguine which was very tender and tasty, but... More

As is often the way, just happened upon this delightful trattoria one evening and liked the ambience. The staff were friendly and efficient, the owner/chef highly involved via walkabouts and chatting to customers, the food beautifully delivered. I seized the rare opportunity of reasonably priced turbot, which was excellent as was all of the seafood. Alghero has many fine options... More

Don't choice your food, ask the owner to make a dinner for you. but don't ask a tourist menu .... eat local . the name of owner is Giuseppe. best place to come with a lot of friend a table of 20 easy.... no more then 30 Euro per person with the local wine.

We were in Alghero in early May and chanced upon this great trattoria for a late lunch. As with the other reviewers, the owner is a real character. However, the even better news is he can really cook. Strongly. recommend the sardinian pork dish - one of the best I've had with crackling!. If you want a long slow meal,... More

I have been there few times during my staying in Alghero. We loved the way how the chef Giuseppe comes out and talk with customers and recommend them what they should order (based on fresh ingredients every day). He also eventually will seat with you and spend on you homemade grappas or limoncello. Very high quality for a reasonable price.... More

Pepe is the owner and cook! A great person and a charming character; his wife Lydia is waiting the tables and is so nice and silently present. We had good food and a nice bottle of wine. This is one of the better restaurants in Alghero if you want a nice meal with good food and no-nonsense atmosphere.

Ask the chef to serve you with a local tour of sardo food. Just tell me what you don't like. If you are more fish or meat and even vegetarian. Ask for the house wine. Food is home made. you need to take the full course.

Tucked away near the seaside end of the quiet Via Cavour, Trattoria Cavour is well worth the search. Owners Pepe and Lydia are energetic and proud of the this little gem of a restaurant -- and rightfully so! The menu is full of traditional Sandinian options, to include several three or four course set menus which my wife and I... More

We were in Alghero for three weeks and out of all the restaurants we tried this was definitely the best. We finally went there several times during the last week, including for diner on our last night in Alghero. The food is fresh and very tasty, the menu contains home made pasta types, the wine is good and the staff... More
