Lovely spot for a ice cream

Home made ice cream right on the port side in Alghero. Quirky little shop carved out of the wall - ice cream was creamy and delicious

Amazing gelato, the best I tried whilst in Alghero. Yep tried the one on the placa civica rated as best by a UK newspaper - they're wrong Igloo is better. Great flavours, wonderful texture & very generous portions.

Every flavour we tried was great but the licorice was absolutely fantastic, the best we've had anywhere, closely followed by chocolate, coconut and lemon.

We were visiting Alghero with my family when we stumbled upon this small shop. It's the type of shop that puts a smile on your face! Not only was the ice cream delicious, the owner also made his shop into a small piece of art (funny pictures, interesting water fountain, etc.) and was a very friendly and humerous guy! When... It was a warm afternoon. It was much appreciated. I picked the strawberry and coconut. It wasdelicious. There are a couple of benches outside to sit an d enjoy as it melts quite fast in the heat. It is in a lovely location near a walk along the sea and City walls. Good price too.

Should you find yourself in this predicament whilst walking the old city walls look out for this place , slightly sub terrain ( ok ,, you go down a few steps ) with a good range of quality gelato ,,, slightly worrying pics of the boss on the walls but he has to appeal to a considerably younger audience than... cosy ice cream shop by the sea, where the owner takes personal responsibility of whole value chain - from production until sales. Best tastes we have experienced!

Natural, fair priced, tasty ice cream on a place which no one should miss when in Alghero. The owner and simultaneously ice cream maker is very nice and helpful guy full of positivity and with a big smile on his face.
