Excellent Restaurant

The food is so tender it melts in your mouth. The lamp chops, the seafood, the deserts- creme brulee, the apple pie, everything we tasted was magnificent. The personal attention by chef Benito is outstanding. We loved the place, definitely recommended. Solly & Orly from Israel

The restaurant Al Tuguri is amazing. We booked well in advance considering that this is a small restaurant located in the heart of the old city in Alghero, Sardinia. If you can only eat in one restaurant in Sardinia eat here. Benito, the chef, is very friendly and tends personally to the guests. He cares about his reputation and keeps... More

Let you guide you by the chef. He know's what he is doing and he knows about the wine also. We had the best experience.

Fantastic food, not overpriced, nice friendly service, nice surroundings, please try the 'Thick' Onion Soup (if you like onions, but it is not a strong onion smell) it is out of this world. Best to book to guarantee a table, but well worth it, trust me try it, you wont be dissapointed. My first trip to Sardinia, and this was... More

We were lucky enough to get a table for lunch at this delightful, cosy restaurant. Beautiful food and lamb cooked to perfection. It's amazing how such lovely food can come out of small kitchen. Definitely recommend...

My husband and I went here because it was recommended by the Lonely Planet as good suggestion for vegetarians (although we are not :-)) We were not disappointed! We ordered the vegetarian and fish menu and both were fantastic! A lot of variation, good suggestions for wine, perfect service. The ambiance is a little old fashioned, but cosy. Definitely the... Great restaurant! Won't bother your reading for detail description. Just pop in and taste yourself. Because there is food making and food making.

With only 10 tables and not being too visible from the street, this restaurant really had the authentic italian charm. You have to book in advance to get a table. We had the four course set menu. A great evening from start to end. Food and wine was excellent. The best pasta and lamb we had for our stay. You... More

I only went to this restaurant because the guide said it was the best in town. Unfortunately that was not my experience. The food was poor quality and expensive, while the service left a lot to be desired. I did read some negative reviews on TripAdvisor about this place and should have listened!

Still probably the best restaurant in Alghero. We visit this restaurant every time we come to Alghero and have never been disappointed! Great team in the kitchen - and the owner does an excellent job supervising that all runs well. Keep up the good work!
