We went last week with a friend who had visited the place a couple of years ago. Standards definitely slipping. Food still okay but less refined. The fritto misto was overdone and we asked for the pasta al vongole to be spicy which it was not and undercooked as well. We were served by the owner first but later by... More

Know this restaurant since 15 years, and it is a "must" when we are at Taranto very nice small tipical trattoria. Ask the waiter or owner for suggestion . The written Menu is only a help for not local people. Goos local wines ! a restaurant where you have to eat seafood & fish and you are sure to be... More

A very attractive restaurant, with cute photos on the wall of the restaurant and team in the old days. They were almost full on a Tuesday lunch time, which is unusual around here. However, many things were not available which were on the (freshly printed) menu. The wine we selected was not available and the waiter opened an alternative without... More

After three hours of Milan's sights we ended up in the Galleria at the Duomo at lunchtime. Trattoria Al Gatto Rosso, thanks to Sergio, provided an exquisite noonday meal. Osso buco was to die for, and my wife's pasta with tartuffe unforgettable.

Very good experience, since we were there for dinner twice and nothing wrong happened. Quality of fresh fishes is excellent , pastas are as expected. Service is good, could improve a little. Wine list is not extensive, it is advisable to follow the suggestions of the owner and you will not be disappointed. Price is acceptable.

This is really an excellent place in Taranto, in a quiet street near the wonderful archaeological Museum MARTA. We ate there at lunch, in a very hot day, so we had to eat moderatly. As entrées we had baked mussels and sea salad and than a great grilled fish. The fish is the best I had since a very long... More

We spent a pleasant evening at this traditional trattoria, sitting outside on the quite pedestrian way and facing the Mar Piccolo. The seafood was great, pricing very reasonable (some Eur 35 p.p., including great wine) and service very caring. The antipasti are a must. I would strongly reccommend a visit to anyone wishing to have a nice lunch or dinner... More

Everything was perfect and it's been a while for me to meet this kind of good trattoria in Italy. It's a bit surprise to find it in Taranto. Taste, service and price meet each other and chef was kind. Tables were fully occupied and reservation in advance is recommended.
