STEAK AL SCOSAZIO

One of the best place (if not the best) to eat meat in Brindisi. The grill is the center where everithing spins around in this restaurant. Fast & excellent service. Too good to be true? just visit them and try.

I love this steakhouse in Piazza Mercato, in the heart of historic Brindisi. Order your desired steak from the display as you enter - or involtini (rolled, filled meat parcels) or salsiccia (tasty sausages in different styles & flavours ) - and then sit back with a 1/4 or 1/2 litre of delicious local Negroamaro or Primitivo (red wines) and... Found this carnivore gem just by Piazza Mercado during our walk about. As you walk in , the counter on your right is brisking with assorted meats , different cuts and sizes. Walk away now if you are vegetarian! This is definitely carnivore heaven! Helped by the people manning the counter, you choose the meat you like, the cut and... More

Friendly, lively, full of locals, 'Esco Sazio' (means "I'm full up") is a meaty treat. Get a table - preferably outside in Piazza Mercado - get given a number and go and inspect the array of meats inside; make your choice, tell them how you'd like it cooked, give them your number and return to your table for a glass... Meat is often not the focus in Italy. Here it is and very good! The two of us ate well, with wine, for 26 euro. We had the steak with grana (Parmesan) and arugula, a 4 cheese and tomato roulade skewer, ams grilled eggplant and zucchini. All excellent.

The food is disgusting and the meat stinks and is rotten. The service was the only good thing. Glad I'm not in hospital. Really sorry.

Good price, good food, good atmosphere. Some vegetables would be appreciated! Note that this, like many other Italian restaurants do not open until 7.30/8.00 pm.

This was a great meal that I was not necessarily expecting to have in Brindisi. A work friend of mine took me there on a recent business trip and he is a regular since having moved to Brindisi a year or more ago. Before you even sit down, you go inside to look at all the meat options in the... More

Fresh meat dishes of sausages, steak, etc. cooked before your very eyes. Great assortment of wines and local beer available too.
