Trip advisor does not let one edit a review so I wanted to let you all know that the restaurant is now under new ownership. I have not tried anything since Dario moved (he is now opened Gambero Rosso in Lecce).

This restaurant serves authentic, fresh, healthy Italian food in a beautiful antique setting. The seafood is fresh and prepared in innovative fashions. The wine cellar is huge with many great selections available to be paired with the excellent food. Dario is a professore of wine and will assist you with pairings. The beautiful ambiance created from an old building with... More

If this restaurant will treat every one like an habitual it will be always full. The waiters are friendly and the price were honest. I hope this will ever be the policy of this good, confortable place near the main street of Brindisi. We suggest to book a little before your arrive. I'm apulian and in Brindisi and province I... We had dinner here at 8:30 the evening before starting a Butterfield and Robinson bike trip and, of course, we were the first people to arrive at the restaurant (when we left at 10:00, the joint was hopping). Our waiter suggested an antipasto assortment. He brought out separate plates of cheeses, prosciutto, fried calamari that far exceeded the heavy American... More

A great meal shared with a lot of people there. The food was essentially good but could have been better with a bit more attention to details (the meat was a bit chewy and not quite cooked as requested) but it was overall a good experience.

I was in Brindisi for my birthday, and I was treated with a seafood feast. Someone we spoke to in town recommended this restaurant. We ordered seafood, a lot of seafood, fried, baked, raw, in tomato sauce, breaded, in pasta etc. The only dish I didn't really like was the raw giant prawns, only because they were not seasoned, only... Excellent dinner here but for us the wine was the clincher. The owner took us into the cellar and selected a few bottles to introduce us to the region. Very nice touch.

This was a dissapointment. I have been dissapointed in Brindisi before, but this was one of the worst places. Very slow staff and no communication between them. Spagetthi wasn't properly cooked and frutto de mare was only okey. Menu was two small pages and only italian. The options are very limited. Nice atmosphere, but a place I definatly would not... More

If a visitor comes to visit Puglia Trulli of Alberobello, the Grotte di Castellana, the sea of Porto Cesareo, the white city of Ostuni and just will to go to Greece, you can find in my city: Brindisi, a great restaurant to eat local specialties and seafood and meat. The restaurant's name is "Araba Fenice" in Corso Umberto, and it... More

Very good restaurant in Brindisi downtown, not far from the harbor. Soft and kind atmosphere and excellent service. The owner and his staff are really kind and can guide you in menu choices. High level food from starters (basically seafood) till main dishes. If you choose "antipasti della casa" probably you can't take nothing else but a dish more. The... More
