Great Food and Good Experience

My wife and I chose La Cecchina for dinner, and we were rewarded for our choice. The service was friendly and comfortable with English, albeit a wee bit slow at times. The food was traditional Pulgia. We started with the Polpo Croccante, which was wonderful. The octopus was tender and perfectly... read more

My wife and I first ate lunch here (on the terrace) in early November 2013, and were blown away by the sublime tastiness of their pasta and sauces. We returned with our adult son this past December, and were not disappointed. This time we ate inside, where it was warmer, and we had a great dining experience. The atmosphere of... More

The service was good, we did not have a reservation. We ate a starter and a main dish, I was with my wife and my 6 months son. The bathroom has a changing table for babies, very useful for us. The food was very good, and so was the wine. We paid 60 euros for two people, two course lunch... More

Dined here three times during a recent holiday and on each occasion the food and wine were excellent. Great menu choice particularly for fish. It is a good idea to book a table for either lunch or dinner. My experience of dining here, was that service was not fast and was more measured , which suited us on holiday. Staff... More

We dined here twice. The first time we came with a group and were given a pre-ordered seven-course banquet -- out of this world. The burrata was exceptional, as was a trio of seafood dishes (including octopus) on a skewer. The white bean puree with chicory was superb, as was a small spinach souffle-like pie. And of course the pasta.... More

Stumbling across La Cecchina was lucky as I remembered reading the reviews on TripAdvisor earlier. The menu has been given a lot of thought, by which I mean the food is beautifully presented and served. The flavours of the local vegetables and seafood were the most memorable for me. The staff were friendly and the Aperol Spritz here was great!

We spent a lovely two hours enjoying an extremely tasty relaxing lunch overlooking the square. We were a little on the later side of lunch but we were happily greeted by courteous staff member. Our food was top class, as was wine, service & ambience. We made a return trip before we left. Although place was extremely busy with docked... More

The restaurant has a very nice terrace and is suitable for lunch during warm days. The food is imaginative and delicious, excellent wine selection, and the service is very professional. Really value for monay.

The restaurant is situated in a square in the old town.We ate there twice,on the second occasion we went for lunch very close to their closing time, having checked with the kitchen, we were served in a very relaxed manner. On both occasions we had fish, italian style of course, and it was very enjoyable, the wine is serve by the... More

Good restaurant, with good food and nice service. Seafood, meats and deserts are very good. Many locals point to that restaurant as one of the best in the historic center
