Real quality food in a nice atmosphere

This restaurant really has the name it should have: it's kitchen represents the soul (Anima) of the Terra (land) of Puglia. All fresh ingredients, mostly local produce and many 'forgotten' ingredients (ancient kinds of vegetables). Traditional recipes, but 'revisited'. Not particularly cheap, but... read more

Terranima is mentioned in most Italian food guides as one of the best cantinas in Bari - maybe on the whole of Puglia. We had a chance to thoroughly confirm this. Rich antipasti, great fish and meat dished, typical "dolci" (desserts), all made to perfection. The waiting staff is attentive and ready to answer questions about ingredients and pugliese food... Even though located in the new part of the city, when you enter you seem to have entered into old house of an inhabitants of Bari. The food is excellent, and the staff is very polite and professional. In one word you feel like a guest at home of nice people

My wife and I had an incredible meal here this evening. The food was amazing service incredible an experience beyond words. If you have The chance don't miss out. This was an experience you'll never regret. Try the house wine and the desert is incredible. The Friday evening we were there it was all locals and most of them were... More

I have been to this restaurant on two occasions in winter and both times it was so cold that I and other diners had to keep our coats on.

You are greeted like an old friend, and ensconced in a lace-curtained large room that feels, somehow, like a dining room in a family home. Delicious local breads are brought out along with great local olive oil. Your salads are enormous, tasty, and big enough for a meal. Add local homemade orcichetta pasta, and a complimentary small sweet --- along... More

We were kindly welcomed in this quaint restaurant with nice pictures and a few nice old posters on the wall. People are friendly and the food is taken from the rich tradition of the region. Cheeses are delicate and tasty, the meat is well treated and seasoned, the traditional tastes (soups, vegetables, ''bur rata'') are offered as appetisers…and you would... More

Amazing authentic food using the freshest local ingredients. Plenty of vegetarian and fish choices. Also have meat dishes. Place is bright, clean and fun. Located in a quiet residential area of Bari, it has to sought out. But the visit will be well rewarded. Great bottle of white wine was only 8.50 Euros. Outstanding value for excellent service and food.... More

This wonderful place prides itself on serving only local and seasonal produce, so the menu changes accordingly. There's something for everyone - seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes. It helps if you speak Italian, so they can explain what's on offer. If you don't, just trust them; they love what they do and are rightly proud of their work. From antipasti... More
