Traditional tastes of Vicenza

Local specialties and local wine - a great combination. We shared two very good pasta dishes: tagliolini with black truffles, and bigoli (big spaghetti) with duck ragu, then shared fegato Veneziana (calve's liver and sautéed onion) with polenta. Washed down with a very good local red wine. Service... read more

This restaurant seems to be family run and the food is as sincere as the wait staff & owner. The home made pastas and deserts were incredible and very authentic. I recommend this restaurant highly but it is small so go early to get a table.

We visited this restaurant twice and were impressed both times. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. The big pasta with ragu was excellent as was the asparagus lasagna. Then the corn biscuits with custard and desert wine were a lovely finish. Next time the baccala-filled zucchini flowers were tasty as was the gnocchi with duck ragu. The atmosphere of... More

Our guide told us that this was one of the best restaurants in Vicenza and I can only agree. Excellent service, first-class food and fine wines. On a warm Summer evening you can sit outside. Inside, room can be a bit noisy when there are many people. Try one of the local dishes, e.g. a dessert made from mais and... More

I just loved the variety and the quality of this truly Italian restaurant. I was very happy to go back night after night. It was within walking distance of the Campomarzio hotel, the staff was absolutely lovely and the food was excellent value.

We had a really lovely four course lunch at this wonderful restaurant. Guinea fowl salad, tagliolini with truffles and bigoli with a pork ragu, liver with creamy polenta, knock out dolci and great wine. Charming and helpful staff, filled with locals.

A lovely dining experience-- food delicious featuring some well-prepared regional cuisine. Recommended by our hotel-- Due Mori-- and spot on as a superb selection. The finest restaurant in Vicenza but reasonably priced-- Bravo!!

This is a lovely restaurant with great food and service. The restaurant is tucked round a corner so it took as a few minutes to find but it was worth the effort. Food is light and fresh and left room for pudding which was also delicious. The whole meal with wine, coffee and liqueurs was excellent, memorable and very reasonably... More

We ate dinner here and the appetizers were great. Swordfish carpaccio and prosciutto with artichokes were a great beginning. The black cornmeal dumplings with shrimp backs and artichokes and the bigoli with duck ragu were good examples of regional dishes and the potato leek soup as well. The trout encrusted with zucchini with mashed potatoes and the veal chop with... More

Try the fried, stuffed zucchini flowers. And, of course, bigoli -- the pasta of this region. So tasty!
