Dinner in a "madhouse"

We didn't want to sit at an outdoor table; it was too cool out. There were no tables available in the dining room, but they offered to take us to another room downstairs. The place was full of people upstairs and down, the noise level was high and the waiters kept running up and down, in and out... read more

Some of the best fried calamari I've ever had. Great wine list and the menu seemed to have something for everyone. The cheese board was fantastic as well- not pretentious, just lovely.

Exquisitely presented foods and especially loved the Tonno Rossi or chargrilled thick tuna slices with red center and on a bed of delectable varied vegetables. Truly memorable dining in al fresco site around the corner of the Basilica Palladio.

Just arrived in Italy after two weeks in Austria, Hungary & Slovenia and this is the reason I will always come back to Italy! We were dining with an overtired one year old but service was great and food was delicious! Highly recommend!

There is a reason why, in the summer months, people snake around the piazza waiting for a table here. It is because the food here is sensational. That is the straightforward truth of it. Here is the thing, though. Those people waiting in line are doing so because they failed to make a reservation here. This was a disastrous oversight... More

We asked at our hotel for a recommendation for lunch and Angolo Palladio was perfect for us. They have a tiny restaurant but with lots of outside tables just off the main piazza. The setting is lovely on a nice day and even for a Monday they were full. The food is excellent - traditional but with some innovation, a... More

First day in Italy, had to have some Italian food. We went to another restaurant first, but they turned us away because we wanted to eat outside(?). Luckily 50 feet away was the Angolo Palladio and it was a home run! Ordered the pizza and never looked back. Can't remember exactly what I had, it had pepperoni, ham, lots of... More

In the evening it was hard to get a table - the pizza was very good and also the dessert was worth the try. Staff really friendly! But (maybe due to the location) a little expensive/overpriced.

We decided to walk downtown today, to see how the Christmas markets are coming along. While there, I remembered that an Italian friend had recommended this place, noting they served "the best pizza in Vicenza." He was right as far as I know - but there was so much more! First the location - perfect - just off the main... More

The Angolo Palladio is a nice restaurant&pizzeria to go for in Vicenza down-town area. It's best for dining outside, weather permitting, because the setting is very unique and prestigious-right next to great Architect Andrea Palladio's Statue and near his masterpiece, the Basilica Palladiana. Nevertheless, the service is very attentive and helpful and the food very good also. Mind to reserve... More
