Great food and a more formal setting. On the expensive side but worth the money for a special occasion.
Old setting in the historic part of Vicenza, yet very trendy in the food department and the presentation and table settings. You get immersed in the ecological direction of the owners and the love of modern art. Warm bread in paper bags, barley instead of rice, excellent Tiramisu, everything was excellent, beautifully plated and served with smiles. For a group of... More
Wonderful restaurant. We stopped to see the menu. Asked if they had any gluten free items and it turned out that most of the menu was! I had Crepes with amazing cheese and fruit. A pasta dish that was fantastic! Could not tell that any of it was gluten free! Our waiter (Alessandro) even brought me bread that was fresh... More
I eat out a lot in Vicenza and this is my second favorite restaurant. It is incredibly charming and romantic, with a fire place and an interior balcony. The menu is typical Vicenza, but the food is just better than other places. It is the best bigoli I have ever tasted, spiced with exotic fall spices. The meat is fantastic,... More
Delicious is the word that suits Antico Guelfo best. It is hard to say which course the most tasty was but as a dessert we got a small glass pot which was a mixture of tiramisu, chocolate cake and pralines. The music in the background has obviously been chosen by a connoisseur what makes the experience even more worth your... More
Food was good, but we were there for a long time to our food arrive. The restaurant have a nice personality and nice atmosphere. I look at the kitchen by the window and I was disappointed in seen a powder to make stock... Well thats my review!
This is my favorite restaurant in Vicenza. The food is always excellent. The staff are very nice. We go in often and they always treat us very well. The food is kind of rustic and always very tasty. Their dessert are delicious, I recommend trying their specialty or one of the molten cakes.
this is a very small but funny place in the heart of vicenza. For sure, the food is developed with a local/regional imprinting which i do really and personally enjoy. The chef and the all stuff is very young and so really energetic and polite Shop around to get a table on the upper side if you are with someone... More
We arrived without a reservation and were asked if we could wait 20 mins or so for a table and offered a free glass of prosseco while we waited - a good start! We had an English menu (thank goodness), ordered some house wine (delicious) and awaited dinner. We both had lovely starters of buckwheat pancake with goats cheese and... More
We started with gnocchi di ricotta e funghi and fettuccini with salami meat. Both dishes were excellent, particularly the gnocchi, which was light and in a lovely mushroom perfumed sauce. That's where we probaby should have stopped. For secondi I had soused sardines with stewed onions, pine nuts and raisons. A sort of deconstructed sicilian sade dish. Unfortunately the sardines...
