Simple but tasty food after 3 hours on foot. Loved the rustic feel and benches. Scoffed the pasta and drank red wine recommended by waitress, which was fantastic. Extremely cheap.

If you do not mind bench seating tables, you should explore this eating venue that boasts of excellent horse meat. Try the shredded horse meat with rocket salad, thereafter the macaroni with duck & its succulent sauce. Dessert should come with their famed home made ice cream and their creme brulee Finish off with an espresso macchiato.

We ate at this restaurant twice on our recent trip to Verona. The food and wine were both excellent and the service friendly and efficient. Not easy to find, however, as it is hidden down a backstreet, but well worth the effort. A delicious and affordable meal.

I keep coming back to this place. The menu is not extensive. The food is regional and very well made. Food takes up a page on the menu. Add another page for the English translation. The wine list, on the other hand, is quite extensive. Local favourites are soave and valpolicella, but there's plenty of stuff from Veneto and elsewhere... More

I love the polenta in this wonderful tratoria. Simple dishes and simple cooking made the food taste even better. My friend and I were there at the peak hour on a sunny day during easter weekend and we had to wait 30m for our table, but it was worth every minute. I ate everything, even table grissini. Would love to... More

Wonderful old world feel. Food rustic, simple and delicious! Full of locals for lunch and a group of old boys in for a bite and several wines; made the atmosphere. Our house wines were great quality and very reasonably priced. The meals were perfect for a cold wet afternoon, the horse was especially tasty and perfectly cooked. If you want... More

Set right back in a tiny side street you coul easily miss this. Plain whitewashed walls and a tiny glass window artistically decorated with twinkling blue lights illuminate a simple menu of home cooked Italian dishes and you have to seek the entrance below an Osteria sign around the corner. Once in throught the door you are greeted by a... More

I love Baccala, and it is quite easy to make. So is Polenta. I expected something really special. This is the Vento after all. This restaurant is also listed in the 2012 Osterie d'Italia, slow food guide. The Baccala had little bones in every bite. the Polenta was tasteless, which improved only slightly with salt. Also, arrived at 1:30 on... More

We stumbled upon this place and although the food was very basic and not great quality it was reasonably priced and the building was very peaceful. The wine list was amazing and I think it is more a venue for a group of people wanting to hear good wine, the food being a secondary consideration.
