Dive restaurant.

Off the beaten path restaurant filled with nothing but locals. We got a glass of wine to take a break off the streets and were not given a menu nor asked if we would care for anything to eat once we sat down. It was early, so the servers were all having dinner themselves, so we watched them eat... read more

This is the one restaurant in Verona that has been disappointing. It is not up to the standards of the many trattorias, osteria and other eateries in the area. We visited the restaurant based on walking through the area and looking at their menu. It looks like a nice rustic place (fitting in with the area - which is the... More

The place across the street recommended by my Italian friend was full, so we decided to try the "Armoured Car" - named in reference to one of Da Vinci's inventions, an impressive model of which is on display in the osteria. The decor is somewhat rustic - as befits an osteria - but ambience is friendly and the food outstanding,... More

Loved the interior... little nooks and tables everywhere. It was an amazing old Italy feel that was exactly what we were looking for! We would highly recommend this restaurant! The amerone risotto was to die for!!!!

Simple but tasty food after 3 hours on foot. Loved the rustic feel and benches. Scoffed the pasta and drank red wine recommended by waitress, which was fantastic. Extremely cheap.

If you do not mind bench seating tables, you should explore this eating venue that boasts of excellent horse meat. Try the shredded horse meat with rocket salad, thereafter the macaroni with duck & its succulent sauce. Dessert should come with their famed home made ice cream and their creme brulee Finish off with an espresso macchiato.

We ate at this restaurant twice on our recent trip to Verona. The food and wine were both excellent and the service friendly and efficient. Not easy to find, however, as it is hidden down a backstreet, but well worth the effort. A delicious and affordable meal.

We had been to this place more than ten years ago and wondered if it would have changed. It hadn't, thankfully. Same very basic interior a few steps down from street level, same honest and simple and delicious regional food, and same excellent choice of wine. May it ever be thus. We'll be back next time we come to Verona.

We identified this place from a list of top 10 budget eats in Verona. We were not disappointed. Upon entering (about 1pm) for lunch, we were hesitant as the place was empty. Fortunately we stayed. The food was very tasty and service was friendly. Only drawback is the 1.50 cover charge per person. We had a small pitcher of wine... More

This restaurant was just meters away from our hotel. It was excellent, and full of locals enjoying a hearty dinner. We loved it. As we speak Italian it was fun to chat with the waiter and the owner. Both were helpful and nice.
