We entered this place while walking around old town of Verona. we were offered to taste their antipasti plate which was delicious and a bottle of red vine (valpoicella) which was the best one we tried in the town. the place is very well decorated and people are very friendly so you'd love to stay there long...

This little cafe/restaurant is just across the street from the Duomo. The RetroBar offers a range of interesting and very tasty dishes, even a vegan dish with tofu and polenta (a local staple). We found everything we tried very fresh and tasty. While you wait for the food you can pick up a book from a little reading corner (some titles... More

We went as agroup of 6 middle age ladies over Easter and stumbled on this gem of a place Tucked away, but the service and the food was one of the best experiences we have come across in our travels. The owners work tirelessly to please with their locally resourced foods and go out of their way to chat and... More

We stumbled on this lovely, unassuming little place on our first time in Verona. We had the most beautiful food there, an amazing radicchio risotto, homemade rosemary foccacia and an original polenta dish accompanied by beautiful lugana wine. It's full of quirky touches especially the decor, they have round slates on the tables and pots of chalk so you can... More

We grabbed a sandwich, a fresh juice and a beer here to seek refuge from our fellow tourists while doing a tour of the various cathedrals in the old city. Very friendly folks, delicious food, welcoming decor. Recommended for a short repast.

Arrived here after wondering around the city on our first afternoon in verona, greeted by a lovely lady (the owner?) who promptly guessed we weren't italian, and seated us in the restaurant area. the menu being in english was very helpful as we wouldnt have had a hope of eating if not. the service was good, offering more wine on... My wife and I stopped at the restaurant during a cold afternoon in Verona. The restaurant is very cosy and service is excellent. Lots of donkey and horse meat on the menu but we went with the vegetarian option. Food was fresh and good though my tofu-polenta was a little bland (but good nevertheless). But there Ida great variety of... More

This cafe was the worst in Italy during my trip. First because of impolite owner, second because of bad pasta. It was raw and smell bad. When I tried to explain this to lady-owner (she served tables also), she made a face like she didn't understand me and behaved disrespectfully. Actually she showed that she doesn't respect her guests. I've... More

Dear guest, we are sorry for the misunderstanding occured during your visit. We remember your dramatic disappointment on the pasta: we have offered you another pasta as it seemed that you haven't appreciated the donkey meet taste you have chosen. Pasta was perfectly boiled (we call "al dente") as per the Italian way to cook it. But as you refused... More

I walked all over the city last monday and had heard of this place and was really pleased with it. I am vegetarian and celiac and they were more than happy to make me a special meal. It was the best I've had in Italy so far. You always have to be careful saying these things because people than create... More
