We stopped by for a coffee at the Retro after visiting the Duomo last week, then returned for dinner and agree with previous comments about the great choice of vegan, veggie and non-veggie food. The food was great, reasonably priced and the service was friendly. The restaurant is decorated in a vintage style and is a great stop-off for coffee... More

Stopped here for lunch and was very impressed. A lovely location and beautiful inside too with a quirky feel with its vintage furnishings. The menu was varied with a great range of veggie, vegan and meat dishes. Service was excellent also. Would absolutely recommend this place.

Right beside the Duomo - you couldn't find a better location. We had dinner here on two of the four nights we were in Verona, & thoroughly enjoyed both meals. We are vegan, & to have such a wide choice in a non-vegetarian restaurant was most unexpected. Dishes which are vegan, or vegetarian, are clearly identified on the menu. Vegan... More

We stumbled across this place towards the end of our day trip to Italy and also the end of our 9 day honeymoon. We wanted to get something to eat before getting back in the car and driving to Bergamo airport. I was instantly grabbed by it thanks to all the handwritten signage out front advertising their vegetarian food (not... More

I'm so happy that we found Retrobar - thanks to Trip Advisor. I'm a gluten free vegetarian & my boyfriend is a vegetarian. We were very satisfied with our respective meals (his gnocchi, mine polenta), and the ambiance and owners were great. Location couldn't have been better. Go!

As a vegan travelling in italy there are ups and downs. You can usually find something but you end up eating a lot of the same. Stumbling upon Retro was an exciting find. Their menu labelled out vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options and they weren't the expected dishes. I had a sweet potato pasta stir fry and it was... More

I spent the day in Verona and though Italy prides itself on its food, I have found that the food is never good and over-priced due to tourism. I have tried back streets to find "authentic" restaurants and never seem to be able to... when I saw RETRObar I was attracted to the vegan offerings on the menu, but was... More

My husband and I stumbled upon this place after visiting the Duomo, which is across the road. Naturally hesitant about eating in places close to tourist sites, I wasn't expecting much when we paused to look at the 'menu' notices pinned up outside. But am soooooo glad we did. Whilst Italian food is one of my favourites I find many... More

Found this lovely place one day for lunch. Was getting a bit fed up of only having pizza & pasta options so we saw this had gluten free & veggie options instead! Our waitress was friendly and had excellent English with an English menu too. I had a 'digestive drink' of orange, carrot & ginger and my boyfriend had a... More

Wanted a meal before the opera so booked a table through Facebook. The owner was very friendly and the selection of vegetarian dishes fantastic compared to everywhere else we had been in Italy. I can recommend the asparagus risotto followed by the tiramisu together with Prosecco - delicious. It is the sort of place I would use regularly if it... More
