The wine was excellent and from a vineyard owned by the same people. The antipasti was good and fit the wine perfectly. The main courses we had were what you see is what you get. Nothing to write home about, but a decent value for money.

We went here on a Veronese friends' recommendation and it was fantastic. We arrived at the end of lunch hour and we were still given excellent service. The wait staff were very friendly (unlike most italian wait staff) and were happy to translate the parts of the menu that we didn't understand. They gave good recommendations and the overall atmosphere... More

loved the strachiatelli and prosciutto with a glass (or two) of Valpolicella Ripassa. Check out the hand driven slicing machine behind the bar

Took work colleagues on the 14th May 2014. They tried Valpolicella Ripasso for the first time and now understand why I like it and why I like this place so much. There is always a really nice atmosphere in this very traditional restaurant/bar. We had a meal and it was excellent. I will always visit this restaurant/bar whenever time allows.... More

We decided to try this place as it was full to bursting, with people standing on the street outside. Our waiter was incredibly helpful, going through each dish on the menu and explaining what it was (there was no English menu). Between two of us we had 4 slices of French bread with various delicious toppings (salami, cheese, vegetables) and... More

Dear Cuddlysmith, The fact that you clearly felt that our Osteria was different from the others in the centre of Verona gives us a great deal of joy. Thank you. Mark More

Osteria with a very nice feeling, friendly, warm and welcoming! Tried some antipast with cheese, salamis, and parma as starter that were good! As main their lassgne, full of cheese but still good taste! They are serving their own wine, really nice! Good place worth visiting if you are in the surroundings! We got the tips from their fantastic B... More

This bustling, tiny osteria is the place to get a Spritz and some excellent small plates of food. The main dishes were tasty, but not outstanding, but the small chicetti-type bar snacks were the big draw (especially the cured meats, and house-selection of salumi). Their Amarone is truly outstanding - a powerhouse of a wine, luscious to drink. We were... More

Dear Diane from Sunny San Francisco. Thank you for writing about us. I presume the 3 stars only for the service was due to your comment about the waiters having only some English? If so, thank you for the feedback and we shall make it our goal during 2014 to improve that part of our hospitality. Since we have this... More

We were here last day we were in Verona and it was wonderful! We taste the Bruschettes, prosciutto, focaccia, wine... delicious! And the service was also very kind. Good place to go! :)

Dear Teresa, thank you so much for taking the time to write about us. I used to live in Spain, in Seville actually and so I know how good spanish food is, especially a real tapas bar. So when a Spaniard parses us for our wine and food it really is high praise indeed. Thank you Mark More

If the bar at Victoria is too busy, here's where to go. Great atmosphere. Serves food in a sort of Tapas style. Expect it to be heaving but don't be put off, you'll be served in no time.
