On the recommendation of an Italian restaurateur in my hometown, I made a point of taking the train to Verona at the end of my Italian holiday for a chance to eat at the 12 Apostles. Even though I was a solo female traveler, the wait staff took excellent care of me. The menu had so many delicious choices, I... More

Ristorante 12 Apostoli was the first restautant my wife and I dined on our first trip to Italy. Great food, great service and great history to view downstairs. If you are ever in Verona, you must eat there and ask to see the Roman ruins below.

At the beginning I was a little reluctant on this place mainly because it is in the city center where normally places are more tourist style than for locals. Despite of living here since some years, I had never the chance to stop by here so far. However, my opinion quickly changed: a cozy, elegant place with good food, good... More

This is a real gem. Although an expensive restaurant, it is very good value. One starts the evening with a complimentary glass of prosecco and enjoys a couple of palate cleansers throughout the meal. The waiter recommend a wonderful bottle of wine that accompanied our meal well. This restaurant maintains it feel of authenticity, with many of its dishes being... More

I had read that it was a "family" restaurant. It is way too nice, in my opinion to qualify as a "family" restaurant, however the wait staff were certainly able to take care of our table with a 7 year old and a 12 year old. We felt underdressed in such a nice place, as we were in Verona for... More

Good food, atmosphere and service. A complimentary Prosecco on arrival and "amuse-bouche" The food was good and well-prepared. However in our opinion did not justify the price

This place was very cute. To me, I felt as though I was in a NYC Italian restaurant. That is not a bad thing, just didn't have the Italian charm that I like. It did have the decor that was appealing to more of a touristic crowd. My meal was delicious indeed. I was eating light that day, so I... More

I just couldn't wait to enjoy my dinner at that famous restaurant! The atmosphere is unique. The whole place is imposing. Amazing mural all over. But... the food was unfortunately quite disappointing... Dishes with so low intensity of flavors, I just didn't expect that... At the end of the night we had a most interesting "tour" at the wine cellar.... More

We had a 3 course meal and we had great starters, delicious small bread with filling. The tortellinis with pesto were amazing, the main course were a bit boring, but all over good real italian food. The surroundings are very cosy and we were so lucky that we could take a look at their old wine cellar.
