Our 25th anniversary dinner was as far from disappointing as you can get. The decor, service and food was out of this world!! We had the tasting menu but fellow diners had a la carte and when the dessert trolley came out you would not believe it..... not 1 or 2 but 3 trolleys! We wanted to go again... read more

A delicious tasting menu including wine selected for each dish was fabulous (100 Euro each). The service was attentive but not obtrusive. The building is lovely and the recently found Roman remains in the cellar were an unexpected bonus! Well worth getting dressed up and forking out for this sophisticated but not ostentatious experience.

The food was excellent and very unusual like the the beautiful restaurant. This restaurant was built on top of ruins and you can visit the ruins after your meal. The restaurant it self is very upscale and it has the prices that go with the upscale service and elaborate atmosphere.

The menu was only in Italian in an area with many tourists. The menu was translated for us and we could not understand a word of it. All 6 of us ended picking out a single word like 'prawn' and ordering that. It was embarrassing asking for everything to be repeated so many times. The service was very slow. We... More

We don't usually go for the expensive option but decided to go for something special. Great service, interesting inside - sort of medieval look. Lots of locals eating there, which is a good indication. We opted for the meat tasting menu at €60 each, but not the paired wines at €30 each. Excellent flavours and, as usual with tasting menus,... I have had the pleasure to dine at this restaurant on 3 previous occasions and it was a fantastic occasion. We booked a table for 7 persons - 5 of whom were important business clients who were really looking forward to a "very special" evening - they are Veronese and had heard all about the " 12 Apostles" and it's... We have just finished one of the best meals we have ever experienced and wanted to write this whilst we could still remember. The waiters are funny, attentive and importantly so patient with people like us who could not understand a word of the menu. Having eaten in a Michelin star restruant the previous evening in Malcesine my wife and... More

Loved the ambience and the food is sublime. The wait-staff at first can seem a little conservative and stand offish - but that does not last. Try to speak Italian and ask for their suggestions - this is a great restaurant that is worth every cent. The wine list is excellent. Very romantic if you want it to be!

Excellent experience but not enough to be Michelin star ! Service was escellent! If you love wine, no better place to get drunk over hood and expensive wine!, but no michelin star yet Because the food has to be more innovative, however this was good experience and The great start of hoday.!

We chose it because of a Conde Naste review and then when we walked in we thought we'd been duped because it looks so kitschy but it turns out that the cheesy yet charming frescos are from the 1930s and the place has a truly amazing history - both the current owners and the Roman ruins in the wine cellar....
