Such a pleasant and charming place with lot of character and nice deco. Day's menu was excellent with great classics but simple and very well executed with the best ingredients. Service was very attentive and elder gentlemen waiters were very charming and pleasant to interact with. Appeared to be popular with tourists but also local "loyal" customers were part of... More

This was one of the highlights of our stay in Verona. It has a lovely old authentic feel to it and is located just a few steps off one of the busy shopping streets but it is like stepping into a different world. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and were very helpful with choosing the food and the... More

We asked the people who rented us our flat for good traditional Veronese food and they gave us this one. Excellent food, very traditional. Good service with decent level of English spoken. We ate before seeing the opera. My wife and I shared a raviolini, then she had the spatch-cocked chicken and I had a fish pasta. We shared a... More

My husband and I recently ate here before the opera and loved it so much we returned a day later before we left Verona. Our favorite dishes were the spicy red spaghetti and the spaghetti with clams and mussels. My husband also loved the soup with white beans and pasta. He said this was the best he has tasted and... A divine restaurant with superb food...service and staff. Ask to dine downstairs and feel the history of Verona as you dine in style. This is a must for any food fan. Prices are good as well. Enjoy!!

This is a typical local restaurant close to Piazza Erbe but reasonably priced. The service was friendly, speedy and knowledeable. The food was good especially their speciality polenta dishes which you can have as a starter or main course. The wine was also a sensible price - especially if you stick to the local types which are great anyway. Nothing... More

Visiting Verona again this year we thought to recapture the magic we experienced last year at the highly recommended eatery. Unfortunately, alas, such was not to be. While the service remained excellent and the wine list great for local wines (suggestion: try a Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore), the food was good, but not great. The gnocchi with a horse meat ragu... More

Although a cute place and packed with customers, my food was disappointing. I started with grilled vegetables. These were on the menu as a side, but I had them as a starter. They were neither, being cold and floppy. If they were an antipasto, they'd have been swimming in oil and wonderfully tasty. As a side, they should have been... More
