While the service remained excellent and the wine list great for local wines (suggestion: try a Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore), the food was good, but not great. Although a cute place and packed with customers, my food was disappointing. I started with grilled vegetables. These were on the menu as a side, but I had them as a starter. They were neither, being cold and floppy. If they were an antipasto, they'd have been swimming in oil and wonderfully tasty. As a side, they should have been... More

I found the service, food and ambiance to be first class. Even though they were busy we always felt there was someone ready to assist. The food was very authentic regional cuisine -- polenta, hams, rabbit, etc. The waiter Jan went out of his way to talk to us and explain the menu and regional specialties and took pride in... More

Sat night and hard to find a table in good restaurants. We got the last table for two and weren't disappointed. Famous for its cold meats we had the charcuterie which came with polenta, pickles and more! followed by a squash pasta - excellent food and reasonably priced wine. Would defo go again.

A friend from Bologna suggested we dine at Taverna di Via Stella. We made a reservation and it was a most delightful experience. The special for the evening was Osso buco – wow – the portion was huge and really scrumptious. My husband chose a beef tenderloin filet cooked perfectly in an Amarone sauce. Then, a crisp, mixed salad was... More

I have dined here a couple of times. It has kept to a high standard. I think everything works, good food, genuine service and and an atmosphere of energy. I had spaghetti picante and simple tagliata of steak with parmesan and rocket. The food was spot on. No presentation niceties but good quality ingredients well cooked. Also they have a... More

Our first time here. When we walked in, we were greeted by a wonderful and colorful display of vegetables, prosciutto, etc. The atmosphere relaxed, warm, cozy, and friendly. Tables set with crisp white linen. The menu was unique, typical food for the area, wonderfully prepared, and delicious. Service was excellent. This was a great first night in Verona for us.... More

the quality of the food was outstanding.the service was very friendly and efficient while the overall ambience gave an authentic feeling of a tavern. My wife and I would highly recommend this as a great place for a meal. Thank you and we hope to be back soon!

We had pasta, salad, vegies, duck, lamb and one of the best wines we had on our trip. The food was perfect. The waitress was so nice; there when you needed her, and every recommendation was right on.. The restaurant was nice, clean and lively. What else could you ask for? We would drive out of our way to go... More
