The aesthetics of this place are wonderful and the service staff, without exception, were excellent at their jobs. It's a little on the formal side, my shorts and runners feeling a little out of place! But no issue for the staff. The food was very good, although the servings large enough that I'll drop a course next time (we enjoyed... More

We decided to come to this restaurant before going to the opera. We were not disappointed. The service was very good and our waiter was extremely friendly. He talked through the different wines and recommended one that was a mix of two grapes and sourced locally in Verona. The wine was fantastic. My husband and I both had the lamb... More

Mid afternoon looking for somewhere to eat, ideally not tourist tacky, before the opera. Stumbled across this place in a hidden square offering a limited menu outside of peak times. Some interesting dishes on this limited choice menu which lived up to expectations. There were only a few tables occupied at this time so staffing level was appropriate, and what... More

You are welcomed with a complementary prosecco - very nice touch (apart from the gold foil from the bottle in mine) We ordered a bottle of wine and my partner noticed a fly in the glass after the waiter has poured it :S The risotto was wonderful - fresh, light and well cooked. I had the beef, which was slow... More

Around a round table in the courtyard we enjoyed an excellent risotto and good wines by the glass. The sweets that accompanied the coffee were great.

Very good food and excellent (nearly formal) service in a great setting. Four of us ate here and all the dishes were good. I wish I had ordered the octopus which I tasted and was fab. Setting is brill. Not cheap but highly recommended. ps you can book a table for two (the only table) in the Roman excavations two... More

We had our farewell meal in Verona here before travelling to the airport. The risotto had been specially recommended and we chose the first one on the menu with basil and saffran pecorino cheese. (The risottos require at least two guests to choose each dish). We had a table outside in the courtyard and seemed at the beginning, when there... More

Never had Octopus legs presented in this way before, a bit like pork sausages! Lovely setting in the courtyard of Palazzo Maffei off the west end of Piazza Erbe. However, my wife found herself trying to avoid a puddle under the table. Really good food though and excellent service. A little expensive though.

Nice cool courtyard off the Piazza Erbe. Complimentary prosecco. My daughter and I shared a porcini risotto to start, my wife had Bresaola which was enormous for a starter. I had lamb chops with Rosemary potatoes which were OK but not the tastiest, My daughter had. Cesar salad, which was also enormous, and had a thick anchovy sauce. Wife had... More

We were recommended the restaurant from our hotel. Lovely place, great atmosphere and service. Both my husband and I went for a 4 course meat tasting menu, all 4 courses outstanding. (Carpaccio, pasta w/rabbit, lamb chops and tiramisu). Solid portions! Service was quick and good. Restaurant were full so seemed like a very popular place. Would definitely reccommend the place...
