My wife and I recently had dinner here, having booked through our hotel, and had a fabulosu experience. On arrival, as a decent table in the courtyard wasn't yet ready, the maitre d' set us up with some cushions on the steps of the building next door, with a nice glass of cold prosecco while one became available, and we... What a fantastic surprise. My family and I arrived as the owner and staff were setting up the tables outside and they organised (on the house) a glass of rose whilst we waited. Super quality pasta starters; ridiculously good steak with truffles as a main course; yummy tiramisu. Superb bottle of tuscan wine. Owner was charming throughout and spent time... More

Food was tasty and well presented. It is quite a formal restaurant and maybe not aimed at family dining. We had the fish of the day for two. It arrived and was divided up. However some of it disappeared never to be seen again-pity as it was flavoursome. There are better choices in Verona.

We stopped here for coffee having been in Verona for several days, up to this point we had good service from other cafes and restaurants. The service here was dreadful, the waiting staff were not in the slightest bit interested in their customers being more concerned with their own conversations. Avoid it, there are much better cafes with excellent service... More

We booked dinner at this place based on previous Trip Advisor reviews. The atmosphere is quite nice and it is a little bit away from the tourist Piazza around the corner. When we arrived the waiter told us that they had a 'whole fish' on special for 50 euros. We love eating whole fish and ordered it. What came out... More

Lovely square. Simone has a great sense of humour. The veal ragout and sea food pasta were great. The ricotta ice cream is a must thank you

The restaurant is in a piazza of beautiful old buildings The food was great and very well presented. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful but service was very slow. One can make allowances for the food taking a while to arrive but 20 minutes initially for water and wine, the same for coffee and, even though they were... More

We haven't visited Verona for a couple of years, but we made straight for Caffe Dante again and it was really refreshing to find Simone, his chef and his waiting staff still here, making dining in the city a real experience. Liked the professional, attentive service and enjoyed beautifully prepared dishes. Every course was a delight.

Assume that you are in Verona looking for a nice romantic place where to dine. Is this the right place? Location is nice, just close to the best square (Piazza Erbe) but far from its 24 hour crowd. Nevertheless, the tiny square where the restaurant is located is surrounded by ancient buildings: so no crowd, wonderful buildings creating the right... More

I am so sad to say that I just experienced one of the worst meals that I have ever had, and by far the worst of any restaurant meals in numerous trips to Italy. We went to this restaurant with great expectation for our last evening in Verona. The menu is limited, and risottos and the fish of the day... More
