My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant and after reviewing the menu, had high expectations. We have never been more disappointed. The food was mediocre at best - beef tartar tasted was bland, octopus salad wasn't seasoned, veal was overcooked. The service staff only came to our table to deliver our meals, never checking in if we needed a... More

On our first night in Venice we could not have asked for a better dinner spot. The food was out of this world, the cuttlefish I will highly recommend, the service was excellent and the venue superb!

The restaurant is in a beautiful spot on the canalside, especially cosy at sunset. We had just some wine and Aperol-Spritz with some snacks (provided to the drinks free). The price is normal in Venice, the waiters were nice, and the mood was very nice. You can just sit down for a nice relaxing between the attractions:)

Very nice place. We only had some wine and sat and people watched canal side. The staff was very friendly and we asked about where to get a meal they did not have on their menu they found us a restaurant that did have it and gave us directions to it.

Pity about the undignified reaction of the proprietor to a previous comment. In fact, Al Pesador is well worth a visit. Yes, it is not cheap but the food is high quality, the staff are anything but snooty and the location is superb. Regard it as an investment in an hour of Venetian bliss and you will be well-rewarded. After your tour of the fish market, come here to eat some of their wares. The tables outside have a fabulous view of the Grand Canal or just people strolling along the Fondamente. Friendly service and delicious soup. The meal was pricey, but I figure that you pay for the view and the ambiance.

Places looks great, has fabulous location right by the Rialto bridge and Rialto market, restaurant looks great but it's extremely expensive- 53€ for half liter bottled water, 10 snacks & 1 cuttlefish dish and we were still very hungry afterwards. The dishes are good, staff is ok.

Dear Sir, the prices are clear and exposed to the public and she ordered from a menu where the prices are well in evidence. However 10 snacks, better "cicheti" cost 24.00 Euros, 2,40 per piece, with: shrimp in saor, creamed cod, stuffed zucchini flowers, fried cod, octopus salami, saor of oratelle, basket with fried acquatelle, mozzarella in carrozza with anchovies,... We called to reserve about half-an-hour beforehand and got a prime seat overlooking the Grand Canal. Particularly liked the Carpaccio appetizer. It then rained (they moved us inside very efficiently) and enjoyed a fine John Dory. We also enjoyed the waiter's suggested wine - a white Pinot Noir (Colle di Bugano).

Great spot for a drink at night. Ordered the house red wine and was good. The area is next to a lot of other bars and next to the canal so area is deal and buzzing with people.
