Description: You may fall upon Trattoria Da Fiore restaurant in Venice with cries of delight not only is it a charming, laid-back trattoria run by a native Venetian family, it is also incredibly affordable for this high-ticket city. Near Piazza San Marco, too, so its perfect for every kind of tourist or business noshing. A small, historic, charming spot with a separate space for those who wish to just nibble cichetti and drink a glass of wine, Trattoria Da Fiore has the beamed ceilings, warm plastered walls and dark wood seating and white table linens all typical of Venetian eateries. The menu is Italian and Sergio and his two children pay particular attention to the choice of wines. The house specialty is pennette da Fiore for two with olive oil, garlic and seven seasonal vegetables, though some swear by the zuppa di pesce alla chef brimming with just about everything that swims, perhaps followed by sgroppino al limone to finish. Youll find Trattoria Da Fiore full of both tourists and locals, and something of a triumph.

We visited this small trattoria with the hope that we will taste food out of the touristic approach and it proved to be just like this. We enjoyed the dishes and the wine by the glass which was just opened for us, which is not the case in many places. The pasta al mare was cooked perfect al dente and... More

Typical Italian food from Veneto a little bit away from the touristy places. We really enjoyed our lunch and went for a bottle of Local Cabernet Sauvignon. Total Price €55 p.p.

I was visiting this area and obsessed with having Cicetti during our trip. I have to admit i did confuse this place with the more famous Da Fiore and so we went in. The bar was full of locals and we had excellent glass of wine and some cicetti. Our food was briefly heated up by the bar person but... More

Our hotel was very near to this restaurant and bar. Very busy bar used by locals so great atmosphere and drinks very reasonable. After a few drinks we decided to stay and go for dinner. Lots of local shopkeepers eating, so looked a good sign. Turned out to be a good choice, food great, wine good and fantastic service. Well... More

Right off Santo Stefano Square, this place is a lively (mainly locals) chichetti bar, which serves up some excellent tidbits. In some cases it was better than many restaurants. Female bar person was friendly but this place is busy, so no time to chat, point and shoot. It had the best white wine of any other bar, Trebiano. I imagine... More

This place was my first meal in Venice as well as in Italy. It was recommended by a local and we didn't go to the bar for the drinks and tapas like dishes, we went straight to the proper restaurant part and had a great meal. We arrived late around 10:30pm and received by nice waiters. Dishes and wine were... More

There are two restaurants in Venice called da Fiore. The first thing to get right is to know which one you are going to. One is in the San Polo district and has a Michelin star, and the other is just off the Campo San Stefano in Dorsoduro and has no stars. The easiest way to tell them apart (apart... More

This place was a pleasant surprise for lunch after a long day of walking and touring. It is what you imagine a typical trattoria to look like in terms of decor. Nothing special , but appealing and clean. The food on the other hand was extremely delicious , everything was cooked in a way that pays much less attention to... More

Yesterday I had dinner with three other friends and we ended up paying € 250. The food is outrageously overrated and very low quality and quantity. The lemon pie was the worst dessert that I have ever eaten in my life. -10/10
