I reviewed Alla Madonna yesterday. They are both in the same price range. Expensive. Ai Artisti is more upscale and modern with smaller menu. Madonna tries to serve more people with more selections. I liked both. I liked the wine selection better at Al Artisti and ended up with a 25 euro bottle of Sicilian Syrah which I liked more... More

We were recommended by the lady who runs the apartments where we were staying and it was a great recommendation. This restaurant is small with extremely good and personal service. The waiter recommended the aubergine dish I had which was fantastic but the rest of the family were also delighted with their food. They make a big point about how... More

I researched for the perfect place to have dinner in Venice and decided on Osteria-Enoteca Ai Artisti because of prior reviews. I cannot praise them enough. We ordered one of the specials, Monk Fish, and when it arrived I thought I was going to be ill because it and the pasta were covered in squid ink. I have never had... More

We decided to go to this darling restaurant to get away from the crowded, touristy places and were thrilled to have found it. Every single thing we ordered, including the wine suggested by the owner's father, were outstanding. The service was exceptional and the small place (under 12 tables I think) was full and the patrons looked happy and satisfied.... More

On a very hot day when we wanted to ideally sit outside the staff suggested we sit on the bar stools with our table facing the passers by. Perfect. The food was of an excellent standard supported by some excellent quality, while well priced, wines. We had 2 bottles for lunch just to make sure. The staff recognised the pace... More

We had reserved a table, glad we did as it was full. I started with spaghetti with truffle, delish! The rest of mine (seabass) and my families meal equally good, not a morsel left. Drank some decent wine and it really wasn't pricey, I think the equivalent in London would be a lot more.

A bit pricey, but then this is Venice. The food was gorgeous and the service very friendly, all in a very cosy atmosphere. A great little find on our first night in Venice. We only had a primo piatto and segundo piatto and that was plenty, but the waiter convinced us to share a dessert and we did not regret... More

My partner and I did plenty of research before coming out to Venice, we booked Osteria - Enoteca Ai Artisti for our second night. We stayed at The Hilton Molino Stucky, so this was just 5 mins across the water then a beautiful 5 min walk through Zattere. On arrival we were given a beautiful table outside by the canal.... More

After researching restaurants for over three months plans fell through because of jet lag complications, schedule, and attractions taking longer than anticipated. We didn't have a dinner plan for our last night in Venice so I quickly jumped on the computer in our hotel lobby and scanned TA for some advice. I also compared notes and locations with Rick Steve's... More

This small but elegant restaurant served us twice: firstly by ourselves as a couple and secondly with expatriates living in the city who were very keen to see if the restaurant justified its very high reputation in Venice itself. We all thought it was excellent. Somewhat more expensive than many other restaurants within the general area but justified by the... More
