Fantastic lunch!

Booked a table in advance as I read the restaurant is small and gets busy. On arrival we were given a table window and first class service throughout. The food is a little pricey but hey its venice. Fantastic meal with my sweetie, thanks to my fellow Trip Advisors. Split a bottle, clams and mussel app, pasta with duck sauce, and an amazing dish of John Dory with raddicho. Food was great and so was the service, attentive but not overwhelming. Small place, I can imagine needing reservations during the busy season but we walked in off the... More

Vincent managed to get us a table for two even though the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night at the start of Carnivale. The food was very good indeed, we shared an octopus ginger and celery salad, then my wife had grilled angler fish and I ate pasta with scallops and red bream, all very good, the food... More

Lovely food, great staff. Lovely Italian seafood and tasty wine. Around £50 per head. So not cheap but very good. You need to book as there are only a few tables.

Best foods we experienced in Venice! Tiny place, knowledgeable staff (and owners). Went back for two nights. Perfect wine recommendations with our meals. Enjoyed the spidercrab pasta, the John Dory, the sole rolls, the sea bass, the pasta with truffles, the octopus salad.... I could go on but it makes me hungry

We had a table of 4 and were very torn as the menu - although quite small- had so many delicious things it was hard to choose! I had a memorable Spaghetti with Spidercrab which was almost sweet in its richness (fantastic) and then some wonderful rare beef slices which were faultless. Wish we could have gone again as the... It was my birthday whilst in Venice and my wife was looking for something special for the night. After looking through a number of reviews she selected Ai Artisti Osteria - Enoteca. It turned out to be directly across the canal where we were staying! This is a very small restaurant seating only 16 people (obviously need to book) but... More

We had some really good meals while in Venice and in Italy overall but this was one of our best. Some very unique dishes with some amazing flavor. Menu changes daily based upon what is fresh. We happened to go on a Monday night when the Fish Market was not open so we did not have seafood options..but no problem!... More

An excellent eating experience for lunch - pasta with lobster, and scollops and artichokes... yum! Food of the gods, and the local wine was also very good. Go early or book ahead and take their advice on wine and market goodies of the day. Enjoy!

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
