Walked in with no reservation at 8pm and our party of three was accommodated. Place was empty but packed full by the time we left at 10pm. Service was excellent and English no problem. Highlights were spaghetti and clams, lasagna, and be sure to save room for the tiramisu. It was the best we had in all of Venezia. Wine... More

Decided to revisit La Mascareta again after two years. So glad we did. Although Mauro the owner wasn't around this year the food was every bit as good. The Chef's Platter is a wonderful starter to share, with lots of local cold cuts and cheeses and olives, fruity olive oil and bread. I had the lasagne again which is brilliant... More

We were intrigued by this place when we walked by in the late afternoon and heard rock and roll playing inside. We made a point to come back after our walk, and arrived a few minutes before opening, but there were two young women sitting at an outside table drinking glasses of wine, so we thought we could do the... Shared a lovely window table near the bar. Sublime and elegant service, and amazing and unique wine selection. We let the waiter select for us, he asked a few questions and we were delighted with what we had to drink all evening. All of their wines are available by the glass. Everthing was fresh and delicious with unique as well... More

What a great place! We went here after a recommendation but without a reservation for our last night in Venice. We were ushered into a small back room and to a table for 2, the room lined with bottles and a gentle buzz of local guests. The waiter was very helpful and we launched into a local prosecco at his... Great food, wholesome, perfectly cooked and served by great staff. No English language barriers, no taking advantage of tourist's and we had to leave a tip for good efficient genuine service - they don't add service or cover charges in their bill. Wine is so reasonably priced and offered by the glass. Don't stress, just go with your trusty waiter... More

A must in Venice. A great place for dinner. Dinner was excellent, service was great and the atmosphere was outstanding. Prices were reasonable and a very nice selection of wines.

Our last nice in Venice, we came here looking for a good food and wine experience. We got one of the best of our lives. Having no wine list was interesting, but lots of bottles were on display throughout the space, and they offered any of it by the glass. The raw seafood plate, the gnocchi, the faroana (guinea fowl... This was the best meal we have had in Italy. We have been to Rome, florence and now venice. We have actually found though our travels that €70 does get you a great meal which is why this place was so great! If your fed up of rubbish food and crazy prices, come to this place!
