Waited outside for the doors to open at 7 pm & snagged a coveted table. Bustling place. Waiter was very busy but answered our questions. Ordered sea bass ravioli, fresh anchovies and lamb chops.wish we'd taken time to explore the wine a but more, but we were happy with our cab franc. Tiramisu was a superb ending--and the couple at... This is the place to come if you want to sample a wide range of Italian wines. The food, while tasty, mostly serves to line the stomach so that you can drink more. Loads of atmosphere, great place to come for an aperitif or dinner, if you are not looking for fine dining.

We were recommended to try this restaurant by our hotel manager, given it was relatively close (in the Castelli area) and was known to have good food. It was fantastic! Just great, honest, tasty food, paired with beautiful wines and attentive service, in a warm and cosy setting. We enjoyed it so much, we returned for our final night's dinner... More

This place is so pack that we need to come back at 9 pm. It was still packed with people when we came back. We decided to order just one appetizer, one pasta dish, one main to share between two of us. The kitchen split everything into two plates for us. Our appetizer is Carpaccio of Angus Beef and Parmigiano... More

I had read about this restaurant on the app Eat Venice. The raves were well deserved. Our waiter was one of the most knowledgable I've ever had. I'm a vegetarian and my dinner partner is nuts for fish- the specialty here. Neither of us was disappointed in either the food or drink. And an outstanding value for the quality. Great... More

We arrived at La Mascareta about 45 mins per-opening when staff were setting up - the weather was foul so rather than turning us away we were invited to sit in a corner, with a warming glass of wine, whilst preparations were completed. This friendly approach continued through the evening whilst we enjoyed carpaccio, spaghetti vongole and tiramisu - everything... More

Good wine, good venetian food, friendly atmosphere. We were waiting on line for half an hour for the opening at 19:00.

My husband and I went here after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, we were not disappointed! It was very busy, even though other restaurants were quiet (which was a good sign) and we had to wait but it was worth it. The food is simple but delicious. We shared the chefs cutting board to start (€20) and then I had... More
