Fabulous welcome with enormous knowledge of Gins. There are over 80 in the restaurant and all come with a story. Definitely recommended to all gin and wine lovers.

The waiter was very handsome, which was a saving grace for this weary traveler. The food was adequate, the wine delicious (it is a wine bar first and foremost, and they will sell you the wine whether you want it or not). I wouldn't necessarily go there again; I'm sure there are better places, but it was OK and part... More

Booking a table for 9pm is on the late side for a traditional restaurant but La Mascareta was buzzing the whole time we were there. The waiter who looked after us for the whole night was excellent. When we couldn't decide between courses, he suggested that they could split and share the courses between my wife and me, enabling us... More

Very nice restaurant. Authentic atmosphere. The waiters know their job very well. You get the whole story behind a wine or dish - lovely!

Excellent food. Place had a great vibe. The owner and host was very helpful and selected a perfect wine which was terrific. The lasagne was the best we ate.

Stumbled across this place by chance and it was absolutey superb. Good wine selection. By far the best part was the fresh fish and the lamb. I live on the coast and am no stranger to seafood, but this was seriously some of the best fish I've ever had. The roasted lamb was perfect and fell right off the bone.... More

We had a fabulous dinner here. Stars were the guinea hen and the lamb shanks. Both were incredible. Wasn't wild about the gnocchi with duck--if I didn't know it was duck I would never have guessed it. The tiramisu was killer though. I've never tasted anything that good! My husband wanted to go back just for that the next night!

My wife and I dined here while vacationing in Venice last month. She knew of it since an Italian winemaker friend told us about it (they have a great list with Italian and Champagne focus). The ambience is very warm and cozy, and the service was also. We started with a bottle of their house Prosecco (delicious) and some charcuterie... More

Came here on my honeymoon on a recommendation from our B&B (Residenza de l'Osmarin). Seemed like a local spot with a great wine list. We drank the organic white with no sulfites which was very reasonably priced and tasted great. The food was done well, my wife had the seafood pasta dish and I had a very nice steak dish.... More

We had dinner at La Mascareta with our 13 year old grandson early in July. We had read good reviews on TA and decided to try this restaurant. We booked a reservation and we were glad we did. We started with an entree of a variety of cheese and sausages. It was plenty for the three of us to share... More
