Nice Fish Place

Located a short distance from San Stae Vaparetto Stop, this restaurant has a great atmosphere and serves "fixed price menus" which are very tasty for Venice. We had monk fish, calamari and pasta dishes and they were all very tasty and the portions were adequate. The staff are very friendly and... read more

Family owned. Pride in everything they make. We had a large party that visited this restaurant twice, once for lunch and also for dinner. This restaurant did not disappoint. Very reasonable and frequented by locals. That says a great deal.

We were staying in a hotel next door so after a long day we didn't want to go too far for dinner. We took a chance on this restaurant as it was busy. Glad we did as it was a great meal and we were well looked after. For our mains we had lemon veal and a prawn tagliatelle. We... More

Really loved this small restaurant, hidden away near San Stae. We had delicious steak, grilled vegetables, pasta with scallops. Nothing unusual for Venice, but all perfectly prepared, and the service was great too. Would definitely go back!

Found this place through Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. I was a little wary that it would be expensive but it turned out to be very reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent. Great service, lovely interior finish and a good dining atmosphere. The restaurant was packed and there were only three members of staff, but... More

Ok, almost all the places in Venetia (in June) are touristic but in some places you feel it more. The place was nice but the service was not the best.

You will find very tasty and good quality food here, but the service was not up to par. Was not very busy when we arrived, but very soon locals came and the restaurant was full.

Cosy little restaurant bur not so little you might not get a table without a reservation! It's very well located near the S. Stae vaporetto stop. Went with my uncle, aunt and cousin and we greatly enjoyed the service and meal. The white house wine was delicious too!

We made reservations and no table ready for us when we arrived then ordered our food and drinks and the appetizer arrived and we waited 45 minutes after that for our main course as we didn't order a first course. No real apologies and still waiting for our bill. DON'T ORDER ANYTHING OTHER THAN FISH if you want it to... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
