This review is so longoverdue (we came here in March 2013) but to this day me and my husband still talk about the lasagne and i want to return to Venice just to eat here again. its one of those restaurants you dont really want to tell anyone about as to not ruin it with a bombardment of tourists. we... As one will suggest, away from tourist trap, one will find better food at cheaper price. This is such a restaurant. It is at a quiet neighborhood straight down from San Stae water bus station. Be honest, we were a little pasta fatigue toward the end of Italy vacation. Nonetheless, we liked our seafood salad and the four pasta that... More

One of the best things you can find in a restaurant in another country is that is visited by locals, this was the case with the Osteria Mocenigo. The wine was great, the food really good, and the experience itself was great. Special note for the fried fish, calamari and shrimp, and also for thee tiramisu, very different, but one... More

Far away ( get of at San Stae ) from the crowds you will find this amazing restaurant. Superb dishes with all fresh ingredients. The Tartare di Tonne and Scallops are truelly amazing. Top it of with the Black Pasta with Tomato and Shrimps and you will go home more than happy. Top Italian food at a decent price !!... More

We had our last dinner in Venice here and had a blast. The owner/waiter was very attentive and recommended wine and starters. I had black squid with polenta - yum! And - a side bonus - he looks like Antonio Banderas! Highly recommended!

The maître d here is great, a proper character! Went here on our last night in Venice/last night of our trip and it was a great end to it. The shrimp and avocado salad was delicious with a proper kick to it, the lasagne was fantastic too. Haven't had an Italian one that had peas on top but they made... More

We passed this restaurant and looked at the menu. Their lunch specials seemed good value. Reviews were also good so in we went. We were not disappointed. Two lovely Seafood salads and a Spaghetti with clams & mussels were happily consumed. My wife had the house white which was lovely. Tea and coffee were included. Our waiter was pleasant and... More

We ate here two nights in a row while we were in Venice. The food is wonderfully fresh and local, and tastes exquisite. The staff are immensely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clearly a favourite with the locals as well. It was full of Italians on both nights we were there. Can't recommend it highly enough.

A little difficult to find but worth the effort. Really good food and service, simple menu but good variety and reasonably priced. Still close to the main Venice tourist areas but the beauty of it was that you were not ambushed by aggressive menu wielding waiters as you walked past or stopped to look at the menu. We really enjoyed... More
