I would give a pretty good review for this place. We went twice, always for dinner. The manager is just polite, the food is good for a very reasonable price. Plenty of locals inside, so good point. The atmosphere is good thanks to a pleasant decoration.

Found this little place thanks to other reviews. Great local food with real taste and an amazing variety to chose from. Prices are excellent for Venice. Staff speak many languages and the host is friendly and attentive. Ate here twice over a few days. Highly recommended

Dined here three times last week. Having been several times over the last few years, it's nice to come back to a restaurant I can rely on. The food is relatively simple, but well executed and reasonably priced. I particularly enjoyed the Octopus salad which came in very thin, carpaccio style slices, rather that the chopped form I've previously had... More

The waiter didnt explained the menu del giorno and gave us a expensive beer that wasn't included on the menu. Also, my coffee cup had lipstick and the lasanha was cold.

Lovely meal. The meat was beautifully cooked and extremely tender. Highly recommend both the mixed grill and the chicken and French fries. Good service too and inexpensive.

Initially tried to visit last Friday but were turned away because fully booked, despite it being mid-January so adv get there early and book a table. When we returned 2 days later we were glad we did. Useful to note that this restaurant is one of few that is open on a Sunday!!! I started with a fish soup which... More

We tried to get a table here on a Friday night but they were booked out so we booked for the Sunday. Very glad we did! The food was excellent and the staff super friendly. Very good value too. The place was completely booked out on the Sunday too, pretty much entirely with locals which is always a good sign!... More

I searched on TA for a top restaurant in my area of Venice and am glad I chose to try this one! All staff were cordial and welcoming, which paired nicely with the delicious food! They were out of black spaghetti, so I opted for the regular spaghetti with shrimp and tomatoes -- the shrimp were like butta! Prices were... More

We found this restaurant on our first day in Venice, and very happy about it. We had seafood pasta, which was really fresh & tasty.

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
