Very nice meal!

This is a very small restaurant where you can avoid any loud touristy vibe. We ordered the house red wine(very good and reasonably priced) and the pasta arrabiata and the spaghetti with seafood. Both were tasted great (the arrabiata was very spicy!) and were priced well for the portions! If you... read more

My girlfriend and I stopped by here this evening for food and we were very disappointed with the whole experience. We walked past the previous evening and it looked nice (cosy and busy) so we clocked it and thought we'd go there the next evening. We were looking forward to a lovely meal but when we arrived a French couple... More

Outside is written: No Coperti... So you think its a tourist-friendly restaurant... But warch out! Inside is a tax listed of 15% for the service! And the sizes of the meals are half the normal size in italy... Its really disapointing, because the meal is not bad... But over 50Euros for 2 persons is way too much for a few... More

The Tortellini (fresh pasta) with prosciutto and cream sauce was amazing. The Lasagna Boligbesa was soupy and not great although the pasta was a great consistency. You can't by wine by the glass. The only 1/2 bottle available was a Nerlot and was not great. Place is tiny and humid and expensive, but most food is in Venice.

Like plenty of other tourists there comes a point when you are tired, hungry and thirsty and you turn a corner and say 'that'll do, lets go in here'. And so we did. Pleasant lunch but nothing spectacular although I did enjoy the location by the gondola stop so if you visit take a window seat in this cramped/cosy bistro.... More

We had two plates of seafood spaghetti which was microwave re-heated ( most of my seafood was still cold while the spaghetti was hot), one small bottle of water and a Piccol (small) bottle of wine all up cost of 57.27 Euro which included a 15% service charge. A stark contrast the "proper" restaurant meal we had last night in... More

You would miss this place if you did not know it was there. This is a very small little restaurant right near a canal in Venice. Hands down this was the best meal I had in Italy while visiting Venice, Rome, and Naples. The wait service was extremely friendly and accommodating. For english-speakers like me, there is no language barrier... More

The location of the restaurant is very good, I had the pleasure of sitting at the corner table next to the windows over-viewing a small canal and a small bridge. The place is small and cosy, the food was served pretty fast (we were the first clients). We had a wonderful caccio peppe pasta (definitely recommend), pasta con pesto and... More

Tha ambiance of the place was great. I had a salad caprese, which was very nice. The pizza I had was small but the tast was very good. The price was a bit O.T.T. All in all a nic place for an expensive romantic diner.

Nice atmosphere but that's where it ends. Food was average at best. I could hear (what I believe was a microwave) being used. I might be mistaken but it sounded like 1 dish in 1 dish out and the beep beep sound. Very disappointed. You be the judge.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
