Lovely

Came here to fund a decent brew which we did and then read good things and came back for breakfast which the other half quite enjoyed. Simple enough to keep it nice.

Awesome, reasonable, pleasant place to be! Good vibes! Late night pizza was great! Service was friendly, quick, and right on point! Suggest to all for late night or day chill spot.

One of the liveliest places we found in Venice. Right on Santa Margherita Square, which is probably the most energetic & vibrant part of the city. Great place to stop and watch the world go by, especially in the early evening when the sun is going down. The best spot is outside. Yuri, Veronica and the team are the loveliest... More

I had read about this little bar and as we stayed at a hotel on that square we looked in often and it was always busy busy busy - so I expect it its the place to go when in Venice.

We came here after reading a few reviews and knew what to expect. The personel is great and the macchiato is lifesaving. We had no problems like the rest of our group when trying to sit in simmilar places closer to San Marco and been said that they hove to eat if they want to sit. Orange is located on... More

Campo Santa Margherita is among our favorite areas in Venice. An early morning breakfast here is a great start to the day in my book...

We had a nice spritz in this lovely bar. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cosy. With the nice price/quality ratio in mind, this is definitely a place i would recommend.

A cute little arty/student looking cafe. We popped in here and had two hot chocolates with baileys which were delicious and the perfect way to warm up after spending an afternoon wandering around Venice.

How do you ruin spaghetti? Especially in Italy. As a very experienced traveller, I would consider this one of the worst restaurants I've ever patronized. The "orange salad" was stale processed, pre-made and canned food and was nothing short of disgusting. The pasta tasted like it was made the day before for a school cafeteria. Our server was ignorant and... More

We had breakfast here 2 times and they were different and pretty big and good and it costed around 7 euros per person for the food, an orange juice and a cappuccino. The view over the piazza is nice also. Service was a bit slow but we were not in a hurry.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
