Lovely

Came here to fund a decent brew which we did and then read good things and came back for breakfast which the other half quite enjoyed. Simple enough to keep it nice.

We came here after reading a few reviews and knew what to expect. The personel is great and the macchiato is lifesaving. We had no problems like the rest of our group when trying to sit in simmilar places closer to San Marco and been said that they hove to eat if they want to sit. Orange is located on... More

Campo Santa Margherita is among our favorite areas in Venice. An early morning breakfast here is a great start to the day in my book...

We had a nice spritz in this lovely bar. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cosy. With the nice price/quality ratio in mind, this is definitely a place i would recommend.

A cute little arty/student looking cafe. We popped in here and had two hot chocolates with baileys which were delicious and the perfect way to warm up after spending an afternoon wandering around Venice.

How do you ruin spaghetti? Especially in Italy. As a very experienced traveller, I would consider this one of the worst restaurants I've ever patronized. The "orange salad" was stale processed, pre-made and canned food and was nothing short of disgusting. The pasta tasted like it was made the day before for a school cafeteria. Our server was ignorant and... More

We had breakfast here 2 times and they were different and pretty big and good and it costed around 7 euros per person for the food, an orange juice and a cappuccino. The view over the piazza is nice also. Service was a bit slow but we were not in a hurry.

We stopped for breakfast. Waitress didn't know a word of English and made little effort to help. In the end breakfast was fine though.

Stayed in Venice for two days as my and my girlfriend are currently backpacking across Europe. We found out about Orange on TripAdvisor so we gave it ago. We really enjoyed our first visit. Good music, very friendly staff and good service all round. The food isn't going to win awards but it does the job nicely and the beer... More

Whilst the breakfast we had here was little more than average, of an evening Orange Bar has a brilliant atmosphere and very cheap drinks. We ordered the traditional spritz (not to everyone's taste!) and when the lovely owner/barman (pretty attractive!) realised we weren't enamoured by them, replaced them for free (despite our instance to pay). The music is loud and... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
