We stopped in for a lovely lunch, very tasty food but perhaps a little bit expensive. The recommendations were good from the waiter, and he was very attentive and polite. We sat outside for the lovely weather and for the people watching - the outdoor area was not particularly scenic though compared to other locations/restaurants in Venice; we didn't go... More

We enjoyed a lovely meal on our first night in Venice. The 6 course Venetian tasting menu was delicious and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. We were here for our honeymoon and they made us feel special by bringing us a 'Heart of Venice' pre-dessert. Would highly recommend.

On a rainy Venice evening we came across this restaurant coming back from San Marcos, which had flooded. We thought the menus a bit pricey but the food looked interesting and we had remembered a good recommendation. We were very glad we decided to go in. The staff was cordial and VERY professional (thank you, Walter). We tried dishes from... More

We found this place in our quest to find good eatout for lunch which not being in a crowd. The door of the restaurant appealed to our eyes because it's has been on the Michelin guide every year for the last 5 years or so,,,,walk in and you know why. Of course it's not cheap. It does not try to... More

Recommended by my hotel for the food, it was not surprising to find high prices as every restaurant in Venice is relatively expensive. But think about the logistics of this city! Service was very good at an outdoor table. Location is quiet. I would recommend it if you want decent value in this high priced city. Dinner for one with... More

We reserved a table in advance, hoping it will be a elegant experience but it ended up just being a regular restaurant in Venice but it was much more expensive than other restaurants serving the same venetian typical foods. I also found the food very sweet there, like everything was cooked with sugar and pickled onions. We ordered the full... More

Dear Sadie we apologize for the unpleasant feeling you had with our food but we are trying to be respectful of venetian roots with the sweet & sour & spices oriented ancient recipes!!! It means that it is not average food but simply that you do not like it...probably expecting to find Bolognese sauce or Spaghetti alla Carbonara...and...we are not... More

We went out looking for another restaurant we saw recommended but it was shut on a Sunday. Spotted the Michelin stickers on the window and went in for lunch. While not cheap the food and service was quality. Recommend to anyone not on a budget. GG

We were walking around trying to find a restaurant for dinner and stumbled across this one. Michelin stars displayed on the door we know we were in for a treat. Walter assisted us as we ate dinner and yummy dessert! Please try the Millefiori white chocolate dessert!!!!

Were trying to find a different restaurant and gave up. Coming across Bistrot de Venise we noticed the Tripadvisor rating in the window. Very glad we did as we had a wonderful meal - real fine dining but without the pomp. I highly recommend the Scampi in almond tempura with lemon mascarpone dip - simply brilliant. Waiter suggested an excellent... More
