Lovely restaurant we just happened to walk by. Managed to get a table for 5 for the 4 course menu. Phenomenal food, wine and atmosphere. Extremely accommodating staff that gave excellent recommendations. Well worth a visit if you are in Venice!

We had the last meal of our Venice trip at this restaurant and boy did we we save the best for last. Bistrot de Venise adheres to the time-honoured tradition of classic Venetian cooking, great wine knowledge and experienced service. Waiters in suits with linen cloths over their arms abound! The restaurant is laid out in several rooms, each featuring... More

Superb food, friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere. We had beef carpaccio and the seafood risotto. Perfect. They accommodate us even though we had no reservation.

in the middle of venice with a short walk to everything this small hotel is a great stay, the food was wonderful with a wait staff that was very patient and never made you feel rushed, what a great dining experience should be

We had the most wonderful evening at Bistrot de Venise on New Year's Eve 2014. The service, excellent food, attention to detail, the warm welcome and fantastic wine list all contributed to make this a truly memorable evening. Many thanks to all the staff - not least to Walter who looked after us so well. Go there, enjoy it.

Pros: Service - timing and attention was impeccable Food - beautiful flavours, traditional Venetian recipes. Try the dessert with Rose Petals invented in the 16th century! Decor - lovely old restaurant Wine - good local list Cons: On the expensive side but worth it for one of the better dining experiences in Venice

Most of the food I had in Venice was amazing. And Bistrot de Venice was just that. What sets them apart are two things... Atmosphere and wine selection. The Bistrot has a renaissance theme, with rooms decorated by aging violins, masquerade masks, and deep red wallpaper. After a few words with the attentive little Venetian army who will be waiting... Eveything was perfect but there was too much in terms of quantities, half the amount of each dish would have been perfect. We would have appreciated your amazing deserts. Every one more bite was an effort in the end even if the taste and the savor were incredible

They display their trip advisor stickers and michelin food guide stickers very proudly .. Once seated the story changes - the food is substandard .. We've eaten better food at street side establishments and the staff are RUDE (a bloke called Walter needs lessons in talking to ladies) and the "fine dining" experience is enhanced by the stench coming from... I've been here few mounths before with my girlfriend, we liked the atmosphere, the meal and the kind service. Then we had any doubt to make the choice to spend in the Bistrot the new year eve in 31th night. Even with the full booked restaurant all went perfectly, food as well, first at all the professional attentions of the... More
