we decided that Venice was the perfect setting for a classy dining experience and we think we made the right choice with Bistrot de Venise. Expensive yes but plenty of food - in fact too much! Four of us had different meals and we were all pleased with one declaring her tiramisu so good she will never have one again... More

This restaurant offers traditional Venisian cuisine based on old recipes. We dined there two days in a row and got to sample many of the traditional dishes. The beef carpaccio was excellent, served with a nice bufala mozzarella, and the black cuttlefish spaghetti was the best spaghetti dish I have ever had. The duck with tomato jelly was also very... This was a delight, but at a price, and it was worth it! The choice of delicious food was extensive - I chose from the authentic Venetian section of the menu, with a starter from a 14th century recipe followed by a main course from the 16th. My wife, who chose from a more current fare, ignored my attempts at... More

We opted for seafood throughout & weren't disappointed. Service and food was exceptional. Good advice on some unique italian wines. Almost €200 for 2, and we shared the starter, so definitely pricey!

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, had a beautiful feel to it, great service. Didn't make a reservation but were well accommodated for with a lovely seat outside just after a short wait. Food was delicious, as was the wine. It was money well spent and would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are after a great evening... More

While having only 2 nights in Venice, this restaurant was recommended to our friends. It was around the corner from our hotel, so very convenient! The hotel made reservations for us, which was a good thing. Those that didn't have any were turned away. Our service was impeccable and the food was excellent. I think they were pleased to hear... We enjoyed a mild October evening sitting outside. Our waiter Walter was the perfect host, polite, attentive, gave recommendations and was a language talent (speaking to guests in Italien, English, French and German!). The wine menu is excellent. We followed the sommelier's recommendation and chose a wine we hadn't heard of before. The choice couldn't have been better. It was... More

A lovely place with excellent food, more expensive than the average, but it will stay forever in my memory. You must book your table to have the best experience! You won't regret it!

The music beckoned us from the street, the menu drew us in, and we had the good luck to get a table outside for our last evening in Venice. They were serious about service and food, and both were excellent. WONDERFUL!
