Gastronomy & Wine…extensive research on the history of venetian Cuisine and Wines, from its noble origins to the present time. The Historic & Renaissance Venetian Cuisine revised and suggested by our Chef Mario Missese and his young team. We came to Venice for my wife's birthday and in order to ensure we found exactly the right sort of place to eat for her Birthday Meal I researched the available restaurants online. After finding BDV I emailed them via their website to make a reservation and book the Romantic set menu package. They responded promptly and it was done.... More

This restaurant really impressed us. The decor is lovely Venetian with plush red walls. The staff were absolutely amazing- I would say it is the best service I have ever had. They made me feel very relaxed as I was nervous as I have many food intolerances. Nothing was too much trouble and the chef made me food especially. The... More

While in Venice for a small conference, we chose Bistrot de Venise for our farewell dinner and were not disappointed. We were a party of about 30 which is a test of any kitchen to be able to serve that many guests at one time, in addition to their regular guests. The service and food were superb. A friend and... A friend and I ate here recently at the recommendation of another friend; we were not disappointed! The restaurant is made up of a number of small rooms, so it has an intimate feel. The service was outstanding! We ordered from the Traditional Venetian Dishes menu, having a fois gras and pine nut first course, duck for me and eel... More

I visited this restaurant based on the good trip advisor reviews. This was by far the lowest quality to price ratio I've experienced in a restaurant for quite some time. The food was consistently so so at best (please avoid the truffle white chocolate desert creation - yuck). The service was arrogant and all of our simple questions on fish... More
